Stirling School Of English

Stirling School Of English The Stirling School of English is a voluntary organisation that aims to provide English language tuition to all whose first language is not English.

The Stirling School of English is a voluntary organisation that aims to provide low cost English language tuition to all whose first language is not English, regardless of ability, ethnic origin and political or religious beliefs. We try to be as flexible as possible to meet students’ needs while maintaining a high standard of learning. Our aim is not only to provide English language teaching, but

also to create a community where foreign students feel accepted and ‘at home’. Coming to a foreign country, not knowing anybody and not speaking the language well can be overwhelming. The Stirling School of English is a place where students can meet other students and friendships are formed. All cultures are equally valued and accepted.

What a fantastic end-of-academic-year International Ceilidh today at the Albert Halls, Stirling! 🌍🎶💃

It was wonderful to celebrate our students as certificates were presented after we had amazing food from around the world, lots of dancing, and great company.

Huge thanks to Margaret and Hugh for the dance tuition, David for the PA and brilliant MC skills, our wonderful tutors and crèche volunteers, Scottish Country Dancers and the Indian Association for their fantastic dance performance! ✨

We’re proud to have recently launched a new series of drama and storytelling workshops in Stirling! 🎭

Until the end of September, the Trojan Women Project will bring together refugees and local communities for a powerful programme of creative workshops at Hillview Community Centre - thank you so much for partnering with us.

Participants from Ukrainian, Afghan, Sudanese, Syrian and other backgrounds will come together to share their stories of displacement, survival and rebuilding life in a new country, using theatre as a way to connect, reflect and be heard.

The workshops will run every Friday, culminating in a public performance in September at Macrobert Arts Centre.

We’re also delighted to have already been featured in ATV Today, What’s On Stirling, Ethical Marketing News, Stirling News and the Daily Record Scotland, thank you so much for the support!
