Tonights event, organized by , was a great evening of solidarity and inspiration, despite the eijits from the racist far right hanging outside the building with their union jacks (whilst yelling that we need to care more about Scotland).

Fighting for Scotland has always meant fighting against imperialism, fighting for Scotland and for Palestine are the same struggle.

Global Justice Stirling in collaboration with are hosting two screenings of great political documentaries on campus in the next month! First, on February 19th at 7pm, the Spies Who Ruined Our Lives. Then, on March 5th at 7pm, Fires and Fascism. Both with QnAs, and in lecture theatre B4. Hope to see you there!

Updated start time:
This rally was planned to coincide with university court which many of the university senior management will be attending. We have now found out there is a lunch before the court starts, so to be there before senior management go in for court lunch this rally is being moved to 12.45.

A huge thanks to everyone who joined us for the screening of Foragers, organised by Global Justice Stirling and .mena

Together, we raised £300 for the Union of Agricultural Work Committees , supporting food sovereignty and land rights in Palestine. 🇵🇸

Foragers (2022, dir. Jumana Manna ) shows how foraging wild plants like za’atar and ’akkoub becomes an act of resistance under Israeli “nature protection” laws, a moving portrait of belonging, care and defiance.

Stirling Council have passed a motion to officially endorse the creation of the global fossil fuel non proliferation treaty!

Momentum is building throughout the world for the creation of this treaty which will ensure a fair and fast phase out of fossil fuels.

The fossil fuel era is ending and we must do all we can to ensure this is done in a way that protects communities closely tied to the industry, and those that face the worst consequences of it.

A land convoy of regular people will march to Gaza by land to break the siege on starving civilians imposed by Israel.
The 'resilience convoy' has already set off from Tunisia and Algeria and are driving to Arish where they will meet other ordinary folk from around the world to March together to Rafah.
Follow , watch out for their posts and share them, the protection of global visibility is something we can all offer them.
By land and by sea people from around the world are committing to breaking the seige on Gaza. Palestine will be free.

Last Tuesday, we chalked Stirling up with the messages people need to hear.

Here are 3 small things we were asking people to do, and you can do them too, to prevent the UK from continuing to enable genocide:

Write to our MP
One of our members met with Chris Kane last year, and he refused to speak out in Parliament for Palestinians as he said: “he trusts the government.” What use is having an MP that trusts blindly in the government? Write to him, do not let him forget that every day he does not speak out, he is complicit in enabling genocide.

Follow , sign their petition, and write to the pensions fund demanding they divest the 31.4 million they have invested in weapons factories sending arms to Israel.
