Freddy's pick is Familie Mantler Dry Rosé (£9.50). An Austrian rosé made from Zweigelt with fresh red berry fruit, a little spice and plenty of refreshment.

Last year's wine of the summer came from the same producer. They might be onto something.

Silver Heights Bloom Pét-Nat 2023 is a brilliantly unusual sparkling from China’s Ningxia region. Cloudy, peachy, floral and a little savoury.
