Community Build Hub – Find out a little more about our local initiative ⤵️
Community Build Hub was created to support our local community by giving practical help where it’s needed most. This is a new initiative, growing step by step, with limited resources — but with a strong commitment to fairness, transparency, and genuine community benefit.
Our goal is to run monthly or bi-monthly Community Build Hub events, where the public is welcome to visit, browse materials, and access free donated home improvement supplies. These events depend entirely on donations and available stock, so while we aim to run them regularly, they won’t always be possible.
We are currently awaiting charity status, which means the initiative is, for now, fully funded by individuals and supported by donated materials, time, and goodwill from the community.
As we begin the year, our immediate mission is to complete works on our building, creating a dedicated base where the public can attend Hub event days, browse materials indoors, and connect with what we’re building together.
Beyond materials, we also aim to support community build projects, helping turn good ideas into real, tangible improvements for people and places that need it. We’re keen to hear from community groups, shared spaces, and schools about any projects that could benefit from building or construction support.
