We are Friends of AGE UK, but are not to be confused, we are Age Concern Stevenage, a small independent local charity specifically for Stevenage people and surrounding villages. We hold very popular Benefits, Legal and Foot health surgeries, coffee mornings and more! We also took over the Stevenage Shopmobility service so we have mobility scooters and wheelchairs for hire, both for use around the
town or to take away for longer holiday periods. We are run by a loyal family of volunteers that care and are proud to offer the friendly face to face help that so many services and organisations no longer have. If you call during our opening hours a real person even answers the phone! You can also get your replacement hearing aid batteries from us, book a Britannia coach trip, purchase a RADAR key, a Twiddle Muff, pick up a Lions Medication bottle, a purse bell, walking stick ferrules, drop off your Innocent Smoothie knitted hats, we even have some free wool to enable you to knit more Twiddle Muffs or hats. We have helpful information on Transport, Carers, money matters such as Attendance allowance, PIP, dementia, health, power of attorney, home care, mobility aids, sheltered housing, community groups, meals on wheels,
