📣 Loneliness Awareness Week, 15th - 21st June 2026

🙌 The loneliness charity Marmalade Trust hosts an annual, global campaign dedicated to raising awareness of loneliness by encouraging conversation and communication. 🗣️

👋 Here at SAP, we provide activities to meet new people and learn new skills, helping to reduce loneliness and social isolation. Together, we can promote a more inclusive society. 🫶

The campaign is led by ⁠the leading UK charity supporting learning disabilities Mencap.

This year's theme, "Do you see me?", focuses on ensuring people with a learning disability are seen, heard and valued in society.

Yesterday we celebrated a very special volunteer's amazing 20 years service who has given her time, not just supporting our activities, but also planning and facilitating sessions including sports, games, arts and crafts.
She has been a huge advocate helping to promote what we do and championing the importance of our charity 🥳👏🫶🎉🙌⭐

You will be deeply missed, but we are grateful for the legacy you have left enabling members to keep active, learn new skills, make new friends and have fun.
