Our post is dedicated to Jenny, one of the brilliant paediatric nurses at Lister Hospital , who organised a family fun day last weekend to raise funds for our Children’s Big Build appeal. 💙

Jenny organised a raffle, teddy tombola, bake sale and plant sale, which together raised a phenomenal £1,033 for the appeal.

A huge thank you to Jenny and everyone who supported the day. Funds raised will help us create a beautiful new unit for children and young people at Lister Hospital.

Our post is dedicated to East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust’s Medical Director, Justin Daniels, who is taking on his second big challenge to support our charity. 💙

In August 2026, Justin will take on the Bedford Sprint Triathlon to raise funds for our Children’s Big Build appeal, helping to create a brand new, state-of-the-art children’s unit at Lister Hospital.

Funds raised through challenges like Justin’s will help make the new unit a beautiful and welcoming space for children of all ages and at every stage of development.

Justin has already raised a fantastic £480, with funds still coming in.

Who is Jenny and why is she taking part in Rainbow Run? 🌈💙

Jenny is a paediatric educator at Lister Hospital, so she sees first-hand the difference the Children’s Big Build will make for children, young people, families and staff.

Jenny and her family are taking part in Rainbow Run to support the appeal and help create a brand new children’s unit at Lister Hospital.

Rainbow Run takes place on Sunday 28 June 2026 at Letchworth Rugby Club, with the choice of a 2.5k or 5k route.

A huge thank you to Step Change Outsourcing for their generous donation of £400 to support our Forget Me Not Dementia Volunteer Service. 💙

The team recently joined us at Lister Hospital for a cheque presentation by the Forget Me Not Giving Wall on ward 9, where their company name has been added to one of the flowers in recognition of their support.

Step Change Outsourcing made the donation during Dementia Awareness Week in May and have previously supported our charity through a donation to the Easter Grotto for the children’s ward.

Donations like this help us continue supporting patients living with dementia, including services such as harp therapy, which brings comfort and calm to patients during their time in hospital.

It’s Thank You Tuesday, and today we’re celebrating our amazing Yorkshire 3 Peaks team. 💙

A huge congratulations to the 10 supporters who took on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge over the weekend of 6 June to raise funds for our hospitals.

They faced rain, wind and tough conditions, but came together as a team and raised more than £8,000.

Thank you to everyone who took part, donated and supported them along the way. What an incredible achievement. 👏
