Dawn - I’m sure your dog has some unique talents…
Maybe they’ve memorised your daily routine…
Or know some impressive tricks…
But dogs have 3 extra-special skills - that make them stand out from other pets.
I call them the “3 Dog Superpowers”
These astonishing skills will blow your mind, and could even save lives!
#1 Dogs Can Predict The Future
Believe it or not, there are countless stories about dogs barking before thunderstorms…
And in 2011, hundreds of Japanese dogs ran away before an earthquake.
You see, dogs have very sensitive hearing…
So they can hear a rumbling thunderstorm long before you.
What’s more, your dog’s sense of smell is
100,000 times better than humans’
Helping them detect tiny changes in air pressure, and “sniff out” rain before it arrives.
So if your dog’s acting weird - check the weather forecast…
Because you just might need an umbrella.
#2 Dogs Have An Inbuilt GPS
Would you ever ask your dog for directions?
Amazingly, new research reveals dogs have a massive “internal map”
Explaining how some lost dogs walk hundreds of miles to find their way home…
Thanks to their incredible sense of smell.
You see, dogs use familiar smells as “landmarks” - such as a favourite tree or rubbish bin…
So the moment they smell them, they know EXACTLY where they are.
If you spot your dog “following their nose” on a walk…
Chances are they are updating their internal GPS…
And could even help if you get lost!
#3 Dogs Can Read Your Mind
Can your dog tell if you’re happy or sad?
Studies show dogs are body language experts…and can read your mood through ”visual clues”
Like facial expressions, eye contact, and posture.
Plus, research shows dogs “mirror” their owners mood…
So if you are happy, relaxed and smiling - your dog will feel the same.
What’s more, dogs can even smell your mood.
In a recent study, dogs could tell if people were happy or scared…just by smelling their sweat!
Plus - unlike other pets - dogs don’t just know when we’re in trouble…
They try to save us!
In 2019, a hiker broke his neck in the Peak District…
Paralysed, with nobody around to help him…
Until his heroic dog Ollie came to the rescue.
Ollie ran over 4 miles to find help, leading a team of rescuers to the lucky owner.
Giving true meaning to “man’s best friend.”
It just goes to show, Dawn - dogs are the most amazing creatures…
And I hope these “superpowers” give you an extra insight into you and your dog’s relationship.
To your dog’s health and happiness,
Dr. Michael Lazaris
