DON’T FORGET!!! QUIZ NIGHT!!
It's official 2nd Stalybridge are hosting a quiz night on Friday 19th June 2026 to raise much needed funds for the group.

We are hosting this night at Dukinfield Masonic Hall, meaning that we will have a full licensed bar on the night! Alongside the quiz we will also have food available and tickets for our raffle will also be on sale.

Tickets for this event cost £5pp with under 16s going free. All tickets MUST be bought by Tuesday 16th June.

We’d love to see as many of you there as possible with an amazing raffle prize worth £100!!

To end the half-term Squirrels and Beavers spent the evening in the park!

The Squirrels fed the ducks and completed their first big walk as a group, even crossing the big main road!! They had some amazing listening.
The Beavers explored the forest area, climbing rocks and of course finding the biggest stick.

We started this back in February, where we researched how we could help our local community and came up with food poverty, have collected food for our local food bank, then dropped it off at Tesco aswell as cooking at our local community kitchen The Power of Resilience CIC

Blackpool Zoo! 🦍🦓🦒
Today the Squirrels and Beavers visited the Zoo!We managed to get round the whole zoo and see every animal. We only lost one half of a sandwich to the seagulls!
But the weather was on our side and stayed nice and sunny all day. The children represented 2nd well and should be proud of themselves.

The Squirrels and Beavers have been learning about how their choices can make a difference to the world around them as part of their Community Impact Stage 1 badge.

They were very lucky to have a special visit from Cat, who spoke to them about deforestation, the animals it affects, and why it’s important to try our best to avoid foods that contain palm oil where possible. The children even had the chance to try a special app that helps you scan food products to see if they are made with or without palm oil.

Our favourite fact that we learnt was that around 85% of the world’s palm oil comes from Borneo.🌿

We wanted to say a huge thank you to Cat for coming in and helping us learn how even small choices can have a big impact! 💚
