What an incredible day for Staines Sea Cadets at the Surrey District Rowing Regatta!
Our cadets showed grit, teamwork, and brilliant determination across every race — and the results speak for themselves:

• Junior Sea Cadets – 🥇
• Junior Girls – 🥈
• Open Girls – 🥇
• Open Boys – 🥇

These results mean both our Open teams will now go on to represent Surrey at the Southern Area Rowing Regatta in July — an incredible achievement and a huge moment of pride for the whole unit.

A massive Bravo Zulu to every cadet who competed today, and heartfelt thanks to our volunteers, instructors, and supporters who make days like this possible.

Another brilliant weekend for Staines & Egham Sea Cadets at Surrey District DMACT! ⚓💙

Our cadets and adult volunteers spent the weekend taking part in a range of district‑level training courses — and they absolutely smashed it.

Every cadet showed determination, teamwork and a real willingness to learn. They represented the unit with pride and supported each other throughout the weekend.

A huge Bravo Zulu to all who attended — and an equally big thank‑you to our amazing adult volunteers who gave up their weekend to make this opportunity possible.

Weekends like DMACT are what Sea Cadets is all about: skills for life, confidence building, and unforgettable experiences. We’re incredibly proud of you all. 💙⚓

Very Proud

I’m delighted to share the news that Lt (SCC) Lucy Seex will be joining us as our new Deputy District Officer (DDO), effective from 1st June. Lucy brings with them a wealth of experience from their time in the corps, having previously served with Surrey District, and I am confident that her expertise will be a fantastic addition to our team.

Huge congratulations to PO April Gavin, who successfully passed her Rowing Instructor qualification this weekend at Weymouth National Boat Station.

This is a fantastic achievement that reflects her dedication, skill, and commitment to giving our cadets the very best on the water. We’re incredibly proud and can’t wait to see her bring this expertise back to the unit.

A huge BRAVO ZULU to all our cadets who took part in the Surrey District Sea Cadets Drill & Piping Competition at Farnham Sea Cadets today. Every single one of you represented Staines with pride, discipline, and fantastic team spirit.

We’re thrilled to share the results:

A stunning display of precision and teamwork. Absolutely outstanding.

🥇 Junior Sea Cadet Drill Team – 1st Place
Our juniors shone brightly today — confident, sharp, and thoroughly deserving of the top spot.
