Lovely session today. Very busy with children enjoying the outdoor air. Autumn mud kitchen, potion table with things we collected last weeks. Water has been swapped out for balls and Conkers and we have also supplied little treasures farm shop with some pumpkins and squash. Xx

Preparation in full swing for our new planters arriving in a couple of weeks. The old planters which we have had since the very beginning which Heathrow Fencing kindly donated , unfortunately were beyond repair so they have been dismantled and compost recycled using our soil sieve turner the soil has been turned into a lovely fine texture and topped up our new crop of onions freshly planted today to grow over the winter. We also harvested our first bottle of worm tea which we will continue to use as home-made fertiliser. Thank you Len.

Before and after in the mud kitchen today! 🌿

The children explored fresh herbs and dried herbs, using a pestle and mortar to discover the different smells and textures. It was amazing to notice how different the aromas were!

There was lots of water play under the shade to help keep everyone cool, and plenty of Gelibaff fun creating an exciting under-the-sea sensory experience. 🌊🐠

It was lovely to see parents spending time with their children, childminders enjoying a chat, and of course, it was wonderful to have Len back. I think today really showed him just how much he had been missed! ❤️

🌻 Our sunflowers have found themselves a much better spot to grow and are now blooming beautifully in the sunshine!

This week we harvested a whole crate of Charlotte potatoes 🥔. Unfortunately, a late frost affected the crop, so the yield wasn't quite as good as we'd hoped, but it's still been a fantastic haul.

Our courgettes and 🥒 cucumbers are continuing to grow at an incredible pace, so there'll be plenty more for visitors to pick tomorrow. The tomatoes 🍅 are finally starting to turn red, and the kohlrabi is looking absolutely fabulous too!

We can't wait to see what next week brings in the garden! 🌱☀️

The children have already embraced the Allotment this year and utilising them for more jobs I’m getting them really involved at the Plot. Fruit picking cutting herbs and lots of watering. We were very lucky yesterday to get a mugd kitchen and water table before the dump, so he dressed it up today and we had a great time with it
