🌈 Happy Pride Month from S.A.G.E! 🌈

This June, we celebrate LGBTQ+ communities, honour their history, and recognise the ongoing journey towards equality, inclusion, and acceptance.

At S.A.G.E, we are committed to supporting LGBT+ people, their families, friends, and those questioning their gender or sexuality. Through 1-to-1 support, group sessions, signposting, training, and volunteering opportunities, we help people feel valued, connected, and empowered.

We believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect and to be full and active members of their communities.

💜💚 Together, we continue building a more inclusive future.

⭐️Today is Trans Day of Visibility💙🩷

A day to recognise, uplift, and honour trans people everywhere — their identities, their stories, and their impact.

Visibility matters.
Representation matters.
Respect matters.

At S.A.G.E💜💚, we stand for a world where everyone can live authentically, safely, and proudly.

Let’s continue to listen, learn, and support — not just today, but every day.

💜💚Beyond the week.

⭐️Neurodiversity Celebration Week and LGBTQ+ health awareness week may be over, but at S.A.G.E we believe that support for neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ people should never be limited to one week.

Neurodivergent individuals deserve understanding, accessibility, and inclusion every day.

Many are also part of the LGBTQ+ community, and their experiences matter.

Let’s keep listening, learning, and creating spaces where everyone can thrive.

LGBTQ+ Health Awareness Week (March 16–20)

This week at S.A.G.E 💜💚 we’re raising awareness of the health challenges faced by LGBTQ+ communities and the importance of inclusive, accessible healthcare for all.

The theme for 2026 is "Organize to Outlast" aiming to encourage communities and organisations to work together, build support networks and advocate for lasting change.

🩺 Alan L. Hart

Dr Alan L. Hart pioneered the use of X-rays to detect tuberculosis early, helping save countless lives and prevent the spread of disease.

His work allowed doctors to diagnose patients sooner at a time when tuberculosis was one of the world’s deadliest illnesses.

Hart was also one of the first transgender men to live openly in the United States.

⭐ LGBTQ+ History Month Spotlight
🧮 Alan Turing

This month we’re sharing the stories of LGBTQ+ people who helped shape science, medicine and technology.

Mathematician Alan Turing laid the foundations of modern computing and helped shorten the Second World War by breaking the German Enigma code — saving countless lives.
Today, every computer, smartphone and AI system traces back to his ideas.
Yet in 1952, he was prosecuted in the UK simply for being gay.
History often remembers discoveries, but forgets the people behind them.
