This calendar is a special celebration of Staffordshire’s countryside and communities, with many photos entered via Staffordshire's Best Kept Village Community. We want to thank all the wonderful photographers and people involved in the making of this wonderful calendar.

Our 2026 Living Countryside award winners:

⭐️Denise Fallon, of Alrewas won the Countryside On Camera award for her beautiful image of a poppy field.

⭐️The Woodwards Brothers of Gnosall won the Trailblazer award for their enthusiastic dedication to helping their community.

⭐️The Village Bakery, Edingale won the Made in Rural Staffordshire award for showcasing the valuable impact and connection connection of local businesses.

⭐️The Hawks Green, Heath Hayes, and Wimblebury Environmental group won the Inspiring groups award for their community led action in environmental protection.

Once again, a special thank you to Community Foundation for Staffordshire and Staffordshire's Best Kept Village Community for running this wonderful event, giving us the opportunity to showcase and recognise the valuable and inspirational work being carried out by communities across Staffordshire to promote, protect and enhance our countryside.

Our AGM on Saturday marked the end of our 2026 Countryside On Camera Competition!

Our shortlisted entries were exhibited at our 90th anniversary celebration event. This year in partnership with Staffordshires Best Kept Village and Community we received over 60 entries!

On Saturday 12th September we held a Planning Advice and Community Action Workshop.

Our trustee, Dave Evans, who is also Chair of the Lightwood Community Group spoke about his experience with planning applications and green belt developments, and how the Lightwood community group were successful in fighting developments in their area. Joining him was Paul Windmill, our volunteer planning advisor who helped answer questions from attendees. Together we held an informative session focused on attendees key concerns and questions about planning and the use of community action.
