Oops...I'm a bit late with this one!!! 😫

This monthly report I decided to do kind of relies on me remembering to take pictures, AND remembering to post before the month is over so you guys can get out and look for stuff. If you know me, you'll know memory isn't my strong point 🤣 note to self... Must try harder!

Anyway, here's what we've been foraging lately. Not as much as last month as July had me at a festival, both of us away with the family, and working events every weekend in between so we've just not had as much time to get out. But still some interesting stuff on the list!

Also, I'm making an offering to the algorithm god of Instagram by adding a more click baity subtitle to the first slide 😆 but next month it'll be present tense... I promise 😅😉

Coffee collection day is always a happy day. The workshop is gonna smell great while we grind all these. Though it does make it look like we have a major caffeine addiction (not entirely untrue) ☕😂

These beans will be fuelling festival goers at our drinks cart AND some will be paired with our foraged medicinal mushroom powders to create the delicious and nutritious blends on our website including our much loved Lion's Mocha, Chagaccino and Chaga Chai 🍄🤎

Huge shout out to our awesome organic coffee supplier Lizard lane for keeping us stocked up and ready for a busy few weeks ahead 🤩

Foraging is a practical, important survival skill.

The corporate state is organised so you get everything from its centralised systems, yet know almost nothing about providing for yourself from the decentralised, living world.

That is not a natural order. It's a recent construct, and it benefits those who profit from your not knowing how to look after yourself.

Seen through this lens, plant knowledge is no longer a hobby. It's a form of resilience, one that compounds as the systems you depend on grow less reliable.

What practical skills could you develop that require no one's permission? Skills the system cannot take away from you.
