Don't forget the the next meeting of the Standon and Cotes Heath Chess is on Thursday 12th November - great biscuit selection as well as chess.

Well our second meeting got off to a flyer as the ranks were swelled by the welcome addition of James and Jill, although Nigel was off globetrotting...

If you didn't come, you missed some serious biscuits! (See below). If you want to come along to the village's quietest club, the next one is on Thursday 12th November. ♟️Did I mention there are biscuits?

There may be members of the club playing a game or two in a quiet corner of the bar on a Friday night, so if you're intrigued...come and have a chat. We might even be able to give some (very) basic chess tuition to beginners...☺️
