An afternoon of contemporary dance at Redwoods today with a visit from Shropshire Inclusive Dance (based in Shrewsbury). They are touring a new show called Welcoming the Dawn, supported by Vibrant Shropshire funds.
The dance involves 3 female dancers from the company and explores the arrival of the dawn and how the three women take on the duty of ensuring the sun rises. A really beautiful piece.
The company then involved the audience in a short workshop, exploring some of the movements in the dance piece. Such an enjoyable occasion. We are very grateful to the company and the dancers for this experience.
