5th Stafford Boys Brigade and Girls Association

A youth organisation for children and young people aged 5-18 years, Thursday Evenings from 6pm

We are a Christian youth organisation for children and young people aged 5-18 of all faiths and backgrounds. We are a new group opening in January and will meet on Thursday Evenings at St Bertelin's Church, Stafford. The Boys Brigade and Girls Association is made up of 4 different sections:

Anchors (Reception - Year 3)
Juniors (Year 4 - Year 6)
Company (Year 7 - Year 9)
Seniors (Year 10 - Year 13

)

The Boys' Brigade and Girls Association has faith in young people and provides them with opportunities to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment which is rooted in the Christian faith. There’s something for every young person whether it’s camping or kayaking, first aid or five a side, music or crafts. Members develop skills, build confidence, make friends, take responsibility and are encouraged to make a real difference in their communities – sharing the values that make us who we are. All our leaders have previous experience with leading youth groups, all have enhanced DBS Checks, full leadership and safeguarding training.

We had a fantastic night last night, celebrating all the achievements of our members and looking back on the last 12 months.

We were treated to a performance from the band members at the beginning of the night and it was great to see so many parents and families along with our members fill the church.

Rev Elaine also joined us and helped give out our many many certificates, badges and trophies!

Along with members achieving their core awards and service awards, we also awarded recruitment badges, nights away awards, discovery award, various staged awards, team leader awards, as well as three NCO promotions and three presidents awards!

We’ve had a fantastic year, and we hope all our members and families have a fantastic summer. We return on Thursday 10th September 2026, for the adventure to continue!

It's our annual awards night this Thursday 😍😍😍 This is where we celebrate all the achievements from the last 12 months. There will be certificates, awards & trophies awarded so it promises to be a fantastic evening. We are also delighted to welcome Natalie Whipday, Director of Operations for The Boys' Brigade UK & RoI to present the awards 🤩🤩. All welcome from 6pm till 8:30pm

It's our Captain's Birthday today so please 👍 this post to recognise all the hard work Nathan does on behalf of our members. So much of this happens behind the scenes and its hard to appreciate what's involved. Another year older and another year wiser. Happy Birthday from all the kids and volunteers 🎂 🥮

Last night we were very fortunate to take our members to Staffordshire Fire and Rescue HQ and to spend sometime with firefighters learning about their role, equipment they use and the fire engine.

Our members also got chance to have a go using the hose and creating rainbows in the spray from the water!

A massive thank you to all the guys at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue for a fantastic night! Our members and leaders enjoyed every moment and found it very interesting and educational.
