π Goodbye and Goodluck! π
Tonight we officially see PSgt Lambert depart Stafford & Rugeley Sea Cadets after over 4 years in the unit! Itβs a bittersweet goodbye as he leaves for Canada to work, travel and explore π₯²π₯³
During his time in cadets, Alex has achieved some incredible things! Most notably, his promotion to Cadet Sergeant, the highest rank any marine cadet can achieve. He was also a key part of the unit's Junior Boys Rowing team, that went on to represent us at the National Regatta in London! π
Last Wednesday saw him receive his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at Buckingham Palace! The whole afternoon was filled with members of the Royal family and various celebrities π
Having completed Bronze and Silver before moving on to Gold, the day was a celebration of the 4 years of hard work and dedication that went in to completing the Awards. An incredible achievement! π
Some of his highlighted qualifications include his Gold DofE Award, BTEC Level 1 & 2, Intermediate Catering, Paddlesport Safety & Rescue and Offshore Hand 1 in both Sail and Power π
He has truly made the most of his time within the organisation spending time on TS Royalist, TS Jack Petchey, CTCRM Lympstone and various weekend and summer camps π₯οΈβ΅βοΈ
Good luck, enjoy your time and take in as much as you can! We look forward to welcoming you back to the unit to share some of the incredible experiences you have during your time ππ
