It’s not our Local MP but the points raised are still so valid! I know Leigh is also super onboard with the work and support needed to help and grow cadet forces, as well as encouraging Adult Volunteers to take up the opportunities to give back to their local communities!

I think the cadet forces as a whole will be following this plan closely to see what improvements and help we can all gain from this!

🌟 Goodbye and Goodluck! 🌟

Tonight we officially see PSgt Lambert depart Stafford & Rugeley Sea Cadets after over 4 years in the unit! It’s a bittersweet goodbye as he leaves for Canada to work, travel and explore πŸ₯²πŸ₯³

During his time in cadets, Alex has achieved some incredible things! Most notably, his promotion to Cadet Sergeant, the highest rank any marine cadet can achieve. He was also a key part of the unit's Junior Boys Rowing team, that went on to represent us at the National Regatta in London! πŸ…

Last Wednesday saw him receive his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at Buckingham Palace! The whole afternoon was filled with members of the Royal family and various celebrities 🌟

Having completed Bronze and Silver before moving on to Gold, the day was a celebration of the 4 years of hard work and dedication that went in to completing the Awards. An incredible achievement! πŸ‘

Some of his highlighted qualifications include his Gold DofE Award, BTEC Level 1 & 2, Intermediate Catering, Paddlesport Safety & Rescue and Offshore Hand 1 in both Sail and Power πŸ›Ÿ

He has truly made the most of his time within the organisation spending time on TS Royalist, TS Jack Petchey, CTCRM Lympstone and various weekend and summer camps πŸ›₯οΈβ›΅β˜€οΈ

Good luck, enjoy your time and take in as much as you can! We look forward to welcoming you back to the unit to share some of the incredible experiences you have during your time πŸ€πŸ‘

We had a great surprise this afternoon, with Capt Cromie RN popping by Manor Park to see the unit in action!

After missing us yesterday after the Mayor making parade, Capt Cromie, the Commanding Officer of HMS Collingwood, wanted to stop by and congratulate the cadets on their turnout and drill!

Our OIC, PO(SCC) Money had been at an event in the morning and was delighted to extend the invitation for a visit to the sailing club. Maybe next time, we'll be able to get Capt Cromie afloat with us 😁

It is also great to see PO(SCC) Lloyd get to give his new Dinghy Instructor qualification a try out, congratulations on that amazing achievement!

If you want to know more about what we do, drop us a message, we'd love to hear from you!

We were incredibly proud to represent Stafford & Rugeley Sea Cadets at the Mayor’s Parade in Stafford Town Centre today.

It was a pleasure to hear such positive feedback on the behaviour and smart turnout of our cadets – they truly did us proud! πŸ‘

We’re always looking to welcome new members, especially aged 12–14, to both our Sea Cadets and Marine Cadets. If you’d like to get involved, please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.
