The Crime and Policing Act 2026 has changed the definition of regulated activity by removing the supervision exemption. Previously, under that exemption activities such as teaching, training, instructing or caring for or supervising children were not classed as regulated activity if supervised by someone who was in regulated activity.
With this change it means that all such activity is now considered to be regulated activity if it is carried out frequently or meets the period condition which means:
On more than 3 days in a 30-day period
Overnight

๐Ÿ“ข We're Hiring โ€“ Youth Prevention Worker (Switch Thinking)

Are you passionate about empowering young people and preventing violence against women and girls?

Staffordshire Womenโ€™s Aid is looking for a Youth Prevention Worker to join our Switch Thinking team.

In this rewarding role, you'll deliver healthy relationships workshops, prevention activities and peer support across schools, community groups, sports academies and youth settings throughout Staffordshire. You'll also work alongside young people to co-design a multimedia awareness campaign, helping them become powerful voices for change.

๐Ÿ“ Location: Stafford or Stoke-on-Trent (with travel across Staffordshire)
โฐ Hours: 30 hours per week
๐Ÿ“… Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2028 (subject to continued funding)
๐Ÿ’ท Salary: ยฃ27,817 pro rata (ยฃ22,554 actual)
