🥳The results are in...

We're really pleased to announce that Grace from Stafford has successfully become an Elected Board Member of the newly established Youth Council UK. She'll be joining 18 other young members from across the UK, Crown Dependencies & Overseas Territories as part of the Executive Board. Congratulations! 👏

SCVYS joined as a Founder Member a few months ago and things have moved fast! This was a highly competitive process and Grace worked really hard to get here. She'll enjoy a two year term and will be working to connect with members, communities and young people to shape policy and decision making locally, nationally and internationally.

A great result for Staffordshire young people - we're confident Grace will be an amazing representative! ✨

On Sunday Cannock Chase Council held a special event to commemorate 55 years of town twinning with Datteln in Germany. Some past participants of the Summer War Graves Camp are pictured here (Jess, Max, Oli) enjoying the event, with the photo taken by our Youth Engagement Coordinator and camp organiser Sean. A huge thank you to all young people who have taken part in the camp over the years, both from Germany and Staffordshire, for keeping the spirit of peace, cooperation and unity so strong since the first camp in 1962 - and of course a massive thank you to Cannock Chase Council for the invitation and lovely evening.
- Sean
