Another fantastic SEND for Our Voices forum this week!

We had a great session with our young people, gathering their feedback on Aiming High and exploring what matters most to them when accessing activities and support.
We asked:
πŸ’¬ What games and activities do you enjoy?
πŸ’¬ What help do you need to join in and enjoy these activities?
πŸ’¬ What helps you feel happy and safe when trying something new?
πŸ’¬ Is there anything new you would like to try?

Alongside these important conversations, we of course enjoyed some fun games and Halloween-themed activities! πŸŽƒ 🌟
A huge thank you to Rocklands and Marshlands School. We are already looking forward to SEND for Our Big Voices next week!

Over the past month, Rosie Blackett has been engaging with our 16+ forums to explore what Equality, Diversity and Inclusion means to them.

Young people shared their views on equality, fairness and how we can help everyone feel included and listened to. We were incredibly impressed by the thoughtful discussions shown across all the groups. The perspectives shared by our young people brought real value to this conversation and highlighted the importance of a wide variety of voices.

A huge thank you to Rosie for facilitating such engaging discussions and creating a safe environment where young people felt comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences. And thank you to our young people for their openness and honesty.πŸ’œ

We’re incredibly proud to share… The Voice Project has received a Regional Team Excellence Award.

We were delighted to attend the celebration evening and accept this fantastic award - it was such an honour.
It is recognition of the enthusiasm, commitment and hard work our team delivers each day. This ensures the voices and experiences of children, young people and families in Staffordshire are valued as well as just heard.

A big thank you to Maria Tenny for joining us on the evening and presenting us with the award. It was lovely to hear your kind words and celebrate such a special achievement together.

Missing only one of our team members Lisa Bugden. She plays such an important role in The Voice Project and helps make our team complete. πŸ’œ

Thank you to everyone who has supported us. This award has given us a real sense of pride in our achievements, we are excited for what the future holds. πŸ’«

On Tuesday, The Voice Project and the Virtual School attended the Know Your Place Festival at the University of Staffordshire, representing one of the region's youth sector organisations. βπŸ—£οΈ

The annual festival hears from the Young People’s Steering Group and youth sector organisations to share research findings and the plans youth sector organisations are taking forward.

Our latest Bridge and Beyond co-production session was a fantastic opportunity to come together and focus on the journey ahead.

Working collaboratively helped us reflect on what good support looks like and reinforced the importance of keeping children and young people's voices at the heart of service development. Every conversation, idea and contribution will help inform the future direction of the service.

Thank you to everyone who attended, especially the young people who gave their time, energy and expertise to support the day.
