Sometimes, the one we hold on a leash is the one who carries us through life.

Not because they know every path.
Not because they can protect us from everything.

But because they stay when we no longer know where to go.

They don't ask why we're sad.
They don't need explanations.
And they love us even on the days when we struggle to love ourselves.

Perhaps that is the greatest form of love:

Someone who cannot make the world smaller, but somehow makes us feel less small within it. 🖤

We would just love for Ness to find her spot in someone’s home as soon as possible. She’s been waiting so long 😢

Ness has a few issues regarding packages and post arriving….and meeting strangers in the home.
However this is all manageable and you will have full support from Behaviourist, Mark, who works along side Aldridge Voluntary Animal Rescue, who Ness was originally with.

AVAR are supporting her with whatever she needs to help settle her in her home.

Ness will be a foster to adopt, and while in foster, will be provided with all food, bedding, any necessary vet treatment and qualified Behaviourist.

Below we have listed the necessary criteria for her needs.

Nessie is a fantastic companion, who is loving, good on the lead, housetrained and happy to be left, good with other sociable dogs and cat friendly.
Due to her needing some guidance, she will need a child and dog free home.

Can we all please send Colin lots of love and thoughts. He’s come in as an emergency to Garden Vets. He’s in a BOAS crisis and we think has aspirated fluid on to his lungs too. It was really horrible, we were out walking, this photo is literally 10 mins before he started to struggle. By the time we got him back to the car, his tongue was grey , he was distressed, being sick and soiling himself 😫😢
The journey there was scary, we didn’t know if we’d make it there. He’s now been sedated, he’ll be scanned to assess his lungs and then we’ll know more.
The estimate for his overnight care is £2,000.

We are going to need help with his bill…but all we can think of at the moment is getting the little guy better.

Please get better Col, we love you lots 😢😢❤️

Donation details posted below in photos ❤️

Can we have a very quiet and gentle welcome for little baby Toni ❤️❤️❤️
Little Toni has gained her name in honour of a recent welfare puppy we couldn’t share with you. Tony was a beautiful boy, just days old who needed a safe space.
We tried so hard for him, hand rearing him, feeding every couple of hours, trying hard to keep him warm and fed, but sadly he faded away.
You don’t think you can get so emotionally attached to a soul that is so fragile and with so little chance of survival - but we were heartbroken when we lost him, all of us cried and felt devastated. His life was over before it had began. 😢it’s nice we have been able to remember Tony by helping another baby in need.

Let’s tell you more about this little lady.
She is a 10 week old cavalier puppy. She is beautiful, she’s joyful and happy..she loves everything and everyone, easy to madly fall in love with her instantly! ❤️
Personality wise, she’s perfect, but unfortunately health wise, there is a problem.
Toni has a suspected heart issue. Cavalier King Charles are prone to heart heart disease (MMVD)
She has a heart murmur, grade 3-4, which is going to need further investigation.

We don’t know what the outcome will be, or her prognosis, until she’s had her scan.
We can’t predict how this is going to affect her yet…but as you know, whatever the outcome, she will be safe, spoilt, loved and cared for. She’s now a Boycies girl, and that means she’s a little princess!

We will need to start fundraising for the scan and then possibly specialist referral vets, obviously we will update as we learn more.

For now, Toni is being doted on by Bob and Chester. If there’s any dog who we want to guide a puppy, it’s Chester. Beautiful soft and caring nature, he’ll show her the ropes ❤️

Welcome to the family Toni.

A happy adoption day post for lovely Lucy today. She came into foster with our lovely Joanna Nixon who assessed her needs and we made sure that she was spayed, vaccinated and got her much needed dental work done.
We were contacted by the lovely Julie who unfortunately had lost her little best mate to cancer far too soon and although she was sad felt she needed a new little friend to love and go on coffee and cake dates with to the Bod.
Lucy is definitely a lady who lunches now and is loved beyond measure and we're so happy to see her getting the life she absolutely deserves ❤️

Domestic Abuse Awareness Month highlights a situation that happens all year round for far too many people.

In the UK, in the households experiencing domestic abuse where pets are present, an estimated 88% involve threats or physical harm to those animals.

Abusers often use the human animal bond as a weapon, threatening or hurting a beloved dog, cat, horse or small animal to exert coercive control. Tragically, up to 95% of survivors delay leaving because standard refuges cannot accommodate pets, and they fear leaving them behind.

No one should have to choose between their safety and their pet.

Specialist foster services like Dogs Trust Freedom and Cats Protection Paws Protect provide some safe, confidential foster homes for pets so survivors can safely reach temporary accommodation. Although sadly this means people are separated from their pets for a while.

If you or someone you know needs support:
• National Domestic Abuse Helpline: 0808 2000 247
• Dogs Trust Freedom: dogstrust.org.uk/freedom
• Cats Protection Paws Protect: catsprotection.org.uk/paws-protect

Please share to help spread awareness—it could save a life not only of a person, but also the life of their pet.

Jenny has championed Boycie's from the start as well as many other charities including the elderly and Women's Aid , it was her who co ordinated and organised the Dunelm Stafford | Community Support Christmas tree of joy every year helping those less fortunate in the community and making sure they had a present to unwrap and also for the foster dogs in ours and Greyhound Gap care so that they got their own santa sack too.
Jenny has got a huge heart of gold and we are so very grateful for all you have done for us and the wider community . You really are the best and a shining star 🌟
