🏆 The ESFA are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2026 Reward & Recognition Awards 🏆

The R&R Awards took place on Saturday 20th June at Molineux Stadium. A wonderful celebration of our incredible volunteer network, who provide thousands of young people with the opportunity to participate, play, develop and improve their football.

The event also saw the U15 England Schoolgirls and U18 England Schoolboys receive their International Caps, and the winners of the coveted Player's Player awards.

🦁As the team step out to face Ghana tonight, we acknowledge the brilliant contribution of Anthony Gordon in the previous World Cup match against Croatia.

👏Anthony Gordon is an ESFA and Merseyside Alumni, and a shining example of the pathway opportunities playing within the English Schools Football Association's competitions can provide.

🏆 PATHWAY TO PRO 🌏
ESFA Alumni Thelo Aasgaard has been selected to play for Norway in the 2026 World Cup.
Thelo played for Calderstones School when he was younger and scored a goal when representing the school in the ESFA National PlayStation Schools Cup between 2013 & 2015.

⚽We wish the Norway team the best of luck for their match tonight/tomorrow against Senegal.

A story 32 years in the making! 🏆⚽

Back in 1994, David Capper captained Sheffield Schoolboys to victory in the final against Tameside. Fast forward to 2026, and his daughter Bella Capper has written her own chapter in the family history, helping her team win the ESFA Champions Cup Plate Final with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Hyndburn & Ribble Valley!

From one generation to the next, this is what School’ Football is all about - father and daughter. Same competition. Same winning feeling!

🏆The first stage of the ESFA Plate Finals concluded last weekend after two fantastic days at Worcester Sixways Stadium!

⚽From dramatic finishes to memorable performances, we witnessed plenty of action, passion and determination from Representative teams from across the country. Congratulations to all the players, coaches and supporters who helped make the event such a success.
