Our sales stand will be out many times over the next couple of months, however this is one of our favourite events! Always a fantastic selection of layouts, and this year is going to be even better with a selection of manufacturers attending as well. And remember to have a look through our second hand range for some bargains, we always have a variety of models on offer. It's a great way to raise funds for 5551!

The largest independent Model Railway Exhibition the the country is just under 7 weeks away! Held over two days, Stafford Railway Circle LTD will play host to Stafford 2026 with over 55 model railway layout for you to enjoy. Fully supported with 54 confirmed model railway traders, plus clubs , societies and demonstrations. Children's area, full catering facilities and massive, free on site parking. We also provide a free Heritage bus from Stafford station to venue on both Saturday and Sunday. There is also an onsite Miniature Railway for you to ride on provided by the Stafford and District Model Engineering society.

A small update on ongoing work on 5551 throughout July.

12 drop links being finished, brake system support bracket rebuild and initial fitting, machining of the horn guides and general cleaning up of existing parts that are going back onto the chassis.

Our sales stand has always been key to our project, with our project not yet having a "home" it's always been the way to catch up with members, sign up new members, raise money from donated items and have a general chat with people. LMS–Patriot Company Board Recruitment

We continue to seek new individuals to strengthen the Board of Trustees for the Charity.

In the last issue of 'The Warrior' we introduced our new Company Secretary Iain Gould. However, John Hastings-Thomson continues as Chairman only in an acting capacity; and our Engineering team requires further strengthening.

Moreover, Sales Director Roger Bateman has recently informed the Board that he will need to step down later this year. The sales role comprises responsibility for both on line sales from the office and our merchandise stands at various heritage steam railway events. Would you enjoy the excitement of putting on a show stand; the opportunity to talk directly to the public about our locomotive; meeting a wide variety of like-minded people from both inside the industry and out, and achieving sales knowing that you have helped fund the build by your efforts?

Each of the above roles also involve commitment to quarterly board meetings in Stafford plus annual AGM attendance. All out of pocket expenses can be claimed.

Less than 2 weeks till the GCR(N) model railway exhibition! But not only is there the model railways, but Tornado is running on the passenger trains, and flying Scotsman is also on site. What an event! Who's going to be there?
