Your voice can help drive real change in social care. 🧡

The 2026 Care Worker Wellbeing Survey is now open, and we want to hear from people working across the sector. Whether you are a care worker, support worker, personal assistant, senior carer or manager, your day-to-day experience matters.

By sharing what work is really like for you, you can help us understand the pressures facing the care workforce, celebrate what is working well and identify where change is most needed.

The findings will help strengthen the evidence used to campaign for meaningful improvements for care workers, ensuring the voices of those delivering vital care and support are heard by employers, policymakers and the wider sector.

⏱️ The survey takes around 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

🎉 Everyone who completes it will be entered into a prize draw, with cash prizes available, including a top prize of £250.

Take part today: https://www.research.net/r/cwcwellbeing26

Please share this post with colleagues and networks in care. The more responses we receive, the stronger the picture we can build and the louder the call for a fairer, better-supported future for care workers.

Every response counts. 🧡

For every family. Dementia Research needs to be made national priority. If you agree please share this post and help us make sure the message is heard.

Today’s Care Quality Commission (CQC) report lays bare the gap between the support that carers should receive and what they get in practice. With three quarters of Local Authorities achieving low scores on how they assess the needs of both carers and the people they care for.

Too many carers are missing out on the recognition and support they are entitled to by law.

This urgently needs to change. Read our response to this concerning report here: https://carersuk.pulse.ly/poxu3twu6k

⚠️ Heatwave conditions are set to return, and it’s important to keep our loved ones with dementia well hydrated.

Dehydration is a common challenge for people living with dementia, even in milder weather, so it’s important to take extra caution when temperature soar.

If you have a loved one living with dementia, take note of these ways to support them in the heat:

Leave beakers or jugs of water in easy reach. This is especially important for people with limited mobility, who aren’t able to get up and make themselves a drink.

Make drinking easier. Try a brightly coloured cup or straw to draw attention. Make sure the beaker is within line of sight, and not too heavy or an odd shape.

Share a drink together. Have a cup of tea or a soft drink with the person, and make sure they're drinking during mealtimes.

Leave prompts and reminders. Try leaving notes out for your loved one or putting up notices around the house. You could also set up a phone reminder or set an alarm clock.

Offer high-water content foods. Supplement water and other drinks with foods that are high in fluids. Some good options include soup, cucumber and fruit like melon.

Try offering something that feels like a treat. Ice lollies and ice cream are cooling and have a high water content, while Jelly Drops are 95% water and designed to help you stay hydrated.

📢 Please share so we can keep everyone living with dementia safe and hydrated in the heat.
