Grants of £5,000–£20,000 are available for core costs (rent, utilities, admin, governance) for organisations with an annual income of £250k or less.
Priority goes to those delivering emergency relief, health support, housing, homelessness, and services for vulnerable people.

Support Staffordshire has raised concerns with Staffordshire County Council about the reported decision relating to Pride activity in council libraries.

Libraries matter because they are open, trusted spaces at the heart of local communities. They help people find information, feel connected and access support, often at moments when that support really matters.

Support Staffordshire exists to support voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across the county, to champion strong communities and to make sure people’s voices are heard. That is why we have asked the council to clarify what has happened and how the needs of residents and the role of community groups have been considered.

We are approaching this constructively and will continue to engage directly with the council.

We also recognise that this issue may have caused concern for LGBT+ residents, staff, volunteers and organisations across Staffordshire. Voluntary, community or social enterprise organisation affected by this matter, or looking for guidance on how to support their community, are invited to contact Support Staffordshire through their usual local support contact or via our main enquiry channels.

Our focus remains on listening to communities, supporting the voluntary sector and helping Staffordshire to be a place where everyone feels welcome, respected and able to take part.

We all have parents, grandparents, friends, or members of our community we’d want to protect if something ever happened. This training will give you the confidence and knowledge to do just that.

Join us to gain a clear understanding of how to recognise the signs of abuse, respond effectively, and take the right steps to safeguard adults from harm. By the end, you’ll feel fully equipped to spot concerns, act appropriately, and make referrals when needed.
