Stafford Folk Dance Club New and traditional folk/country dancing on Thursday evenings at Walton Village Hall, Stafford The atmosphere is informal with the emphasis on enjoyment.

Come and join us on a Thursday evening at Walton Village Hall and try folk dancing. Whether you have already done some folk dancing/barn dancing or are completely new to the folk dance scene, you will be very welcome.You can come with a partner or on your own as there is always a caller to tell you what to do and friendly people to help. We hope to prove to you that folk dancing is Healthy, Friendly and Fun!

The snow has gone so we are definitely open tonight. 8.00 to 10.00. Come and dance with us, simple Barn Dance type dances. We have our own workshop band playing tonight and Amy Burton calling. Good for your brain and body. No partner necessary. Your first time is free.

We hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas and wish you all the best in 2026.

Stafford club re-opens on Thursday January 8th at 8pm as usual at Walton Village Hall. Vicky Baker will be our Caller. If you can bring a friend along to swell our numbers, that would be a good start to the New year.

The following week [15th ] will be our first Band Night in 2026. Our caller will be Amy Burton [Mark Burton's daughter]. She is a Morris dancer as well as a good caller - and she's young!!! She has called for us before and was great fun.

We have some new musicians in the band. it would be good if we could recruit some new dancers too.

Stan and Liz went to June Perry's funeral on Tuesday at Stafford Crematorium. We were the only Folk dancers there, but a lot of her family came who travelled some distance. She had a good send off. I will put a copy of the Eulogy of her life on the table at Walton for anyone interested.

STAFFORD F.D.C. NEWSLETTER – JULY 2025

We hope you enjoyed our final Party evening as much as we did. Thank you for supporting us.

Stafford Club is now closed until Thursday September 4th when we re-open again at Walton Village Hall.

Rugeley club is still open until the end of July and has a Special Tea dance at Slitting Mill Hall on Sunday 17th of August 2pm - 5pm with Eve Evans calling and Joe Dunn and Yetyn playing. That should be fun.
Lots of cake is a bonus!

Cannock remains open throughout the Summer, so opportunities to dance are still there for those who wish to continue dancing during the school holidays.

We look forward to seeing you all again in September if not before.
