Rising Brook crews have been assisting with the incident at The Big mill in Leek over the weekend.

We have been working at the Old Mill throughout today and the fire is now under control.

We are working with Staffordshire Moorlands District Council to make sure the building and surrounding area is safe.

Residents of The Print Works, Belle Vue Road and Albert Street are now able to return to their homes. All other evacuations remain in place.

Work is ongoing to make the building safe.

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council asks any residents who have a housing need following the evacuation of nearby houses, to contact our out of hours service provided by P3 on 0808 1692 333 or email [email protected]

Affected residents are being housed temporarily in hotels.

**INCIDENT**

Rising Brook crews were mobilised by Fire Control on 11/2/2026 at 11.45am to a house fire in Stafford along with Stafford 1.

Crews in Breathing Apparatus entered the property and identified the fire was already extinguished when two crews arrived, but the property was smoke logged, but a dog was rescued and given oxygen therapy at the scene.

The property was ventilated and following an investigation, crews deemed the cause was a disposable v**e.

Vapes and other electrical items contain lithium-ion batteries which are extremely dangerous when damaged.

**INCIDENT**

Rising Brook crews were mobilised by fire control, 7/2/26, 05:38am along with multiple appliances and Station Managers to a report so smoke reported in a flat in a Tall building in Stafford.

Crews carried out Tall building procedures, and additional crews investigated and located the flat.

Entry was gained and burnt food was the source of the smoke.

No casualties were reported at the incident and advice was given to the occupant.

Additional crews were stood down.

Crews made up equipment and returned home station.

**INCIDENT**

Rising Brook crews were mobilised at 03:15am 30/1/26 by fire control along with Stafford 1 to a House fire in Stafford.

4 x BA crews were used to extinguish the fire, the occupier had safely got themselves out the property prior to Fire Service arriving.

Officialwmas crews carried out precautionary checks for smoke inhalation.

Crews continued to damp down and worked with electrical and gas contractors to cut supply to the property.

The occupier stated that they woke to the sound of there smoke alarms in the property, and safely evacuated the house.

Firefighters extinguished a large fire at a business on Gaolgate Street, Stafford, yesterday (Tuesday 13 January).

Seven appliances and the aerial ladder platform (ALP) attended the scene and found a fire on the ground, first and second floors.

Crews used one main jet and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and nobody was reported injured.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place in due course.

**INCIDENT**

Rising Brook crews were mobilised by fire control, 13/1/26 13:28pm along with multiple appliances to deal with a fire at a shop on Gaolgate Street, Stafford.

The road remains closed currently with crews still in attendance.

Nobody has been reported injured.

We would urge people to avoid the area while we continue to respond to the incident.

**INCIDENT**

Rising Brook crews were mobilised by fire control, 7/1/26 10:27am along with multiple appliances and station manger to a single vehicle RTC on the at junction 14.

1 HGV left the carriage way and rolled over down the embankment, the driver had self extracted themselves on our arrival.

A full motorway closure was put in place to procect crews . Officialwmas and National Highways were in attendance .

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Crews made the vehicle safe and left the incident and returned home station.

**INCIDENT**

Rising Brook crews have received multiple calls today due to the weather and standby duties.

Crews were out from 06.30am 5/1/25 mobilised by fire control to an RTC on the M6, crews were stood down before entering the motorway network.

14:46 multiple crews were mobilised back to the M6 North bound junction 12-13 to a 4 vehicle accident, reports stated this to be persons trapped.

Rising Brook were first in attendance along with Highways England and a Officialwmas officers car already in attendance.

No casualties were trapped, crews made all the vehicles safe and assisted Highways with fending off to protect crews move the vulnerable vehicles to lane 1 of the motorway.

1 casualty was transported to Hospital for precautionary checks.

Crews made up equipment and returned Home station.

**INCIDENT**

Rising Brook crew were mobilised at 16:25pm 30/12/25 by fire control to a caravan fire in Gailey.

Crews located the incident which was in a field , the caravan was well alight, the OIC and crew carried out checks the caravan was derelict and vacant.

Crews used Hosereel jets to extinguish the fire, and thermal image camera to check hotspots.

Advice was given to the landowner, and crews made up equipment and returned home station.
