Remember to:

🔒 check all doors and windows are locked.
📦 arrange for any deliveries to be paused or collected if you’re not going to be home.
💡 consider using a timer for lights if you'll be away for a few days.
👀 ask a trusted friend, family member or neighbour to keep an eye on your home if you’re away overnight.

This week, some customers will receive a survey from us asking for feedback about our services.

Our surveys now feature Housing Plus Group branding instead of Homes Plus or Wrekin Housing Group. We know some customers have been unsure whether these surveys are genuine, so we'd like to reassure you that they are.

Your feedback helps us understand what's working well and where we can do better, helping us shape and improve the services we provide. If you receive a survey, we'd really appreciate you taking a few minutes to share your experience.

How to know if your survey is genuine:

✅ It will be branded Housing Plus Group
✅ We'll never ask for sensitive personal or financial information
✅ The survey is being sent to help us improve our services

Free bus travel for children aged 5-15 and more summer savings for August 🚌🌞

If you haven't heard about the government’s Great British Savings campaign, we've put together some key information to help you take advantage of what's on offer.

By reducing travel costs, the initiative makes it easier and more affordable for families to access attractions, activities, sports clubs and cultural events this summer.

A fresh new look for Wrekin View Primary School!🏫🎨

As the school holidays began, our colleagues from Housing Plus Group rolled up their sleeves and headed to Wrekin View Primary School to help redecorate several classrooms.

The team transformed spaces that hadn't been painted for some time, creating brighter, cleaner and more welcoming classrooms ready for the new school year.

Sam Hine, Social Value & Inclusion Manager at Housing Plus Group, said:
"We’re delighted to have been able to support Wrekin View Primary School. We have many homes in the local area, and many of our customers have children who attend the school. It was fantastic to see our colleagues making use of their volunteering days and working alongside the Novus team to make a real difference. The classrooms look fantastic, and I’m sure the pupils and staff will be pleasantly surprised when they return after the summer break."

School holidays have started! Here's some free and low-cost ways to keep the whole family happy this summer 🌞⛱️

In Shropshire, eligible children and young people can access free Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) clubs, offering activities such as sports, crafts, cooking and outdoor games, alongside healthy meals, from 20 July to 20 August. Booking is now open via the Shropshire Council HAF programme.

Telford & Wrekin families can take advantage of a packed programme of affordable leisure activities running from 20 July to 30 August. Activities include swimming sessions, tobogganing, tennis, driving range experiences and soft play, with many sessions costing from just £2.

Staffordshire’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is offering more than 42,000 places for eligible children and young people aged 5-16. Families can book up to 16 fully funded@ sessions, including sports, dance, drama, outdoor adventures, creative activities and wellbeing sessions, with meals provided at most activities.
