Glad’s House, Mombasa, Kenya is the subject of our talk at the next W.I. meeting on August 3rd, 7.30p.m. at Haughton Village Hall. Our speaker will be Suzanne Potts who has recently returned from visiting Glad’s House to see and support their valuable work. Glad’s House is committed to empowering street children to take responsibility for their own lives and Suzanne’s talk will enable us to learn first-hand, the many ways these vulnerable young people are receiving help. The proceeds from the Raffle and any other donations will be given to Glad’s House. Do come along and join us for the meeting! Visitors are always welcome.

The next meeting of Haughton W.I. is on Monday, July 6th at 7.30p.m. in Haughton Village Hall. We look forward to welcoming Shaun Farrelly who will be taking us for “A Day at the Seaside.”
Considering the very hot weather we have had, a paddle in the sea to cool down would have been a real treat! Visitors are always very welcome, so come for a visit and stay for tea/coffee and cake!
