Haughton W.I. was formed in 1920 and used to meet in the old Village Institute, a tin hut, which was situated at the top of Park Lane, Haughton. In 1956, a new Village Hall was built by a local builder with a lot of voluntary help from villagers. The W.I. was quick to move in and book its regular meeting slot on the first Monday of every month! On Monday, September 7th 2026, we will be celebrating our 106th Birthday and we have invited Steve and Julie Wigley to entertain us with “An Evening of Folk Music.” We are always pleased to welcome new members and visitors, so why not join us at 7.30p.m. for a celebratory drink. Tea/ Coffee and cake is served at the end of the evening. The charge for visitors is £2.00.
