We’re excited to launch bookings for Adventure Days this summer – and we’ve got some brand new programmes for you to explore! 🌳✨

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Adventure Days – Family Fun
A full day of outdoor adventure for the whole family! Enjoy fun, age‑appropriate activities together in a safe and welcoming environment, building confidence, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

Perfect for older participants looking to try new challenges and build their skills:

Standon Bowers: Target sports & biking 🚴‍♀️🎯

🏥🚑 Adventure Days – Mini Medics
An exciting hands-on experience for younger participants (ages 5–11) to learn basic first aid and life-saving skills in a fun, safe environment.

We are excited to share that Entrust Adventure Days – Family Fun Edition is brand new for this summer! 🎉

This exciting new offer gives families the opportunity to enjoy a full day of outdoor adventure together in a safe, welcoming, and well-organised environment. It’s all about bringing children and adults together to take part in fun, age‑appropriate activities that encourage teamwork, confidence, and shared experiences.

Taking place at our trusted outdoor education centres, including Standon Bowers and Laches Wood, these sessions make the most of the high‑quality facilities many local families and schools already know and love.

Throughout the day, families will have the chance to take part in a range of activities such as:
• High ropes
• Climbing
• Target sports
• Bushcraft
• Team challenges

All activities are carefully adapted so families can participate alongside one another and enjoy the experience together.

Please note:
• Children must attend with at least one adult for the full duration of the day
• Some activities are age-specific (e.g. High Ropes 8+ and Rifle Shooting 9+)

Across Entrust Outdoors, women are leading sessions, coordinating centres, supporting programmes, building confidence, solving problems, lifting others up and showing young people what’s possible. Their strength, resilience and heart are woven into every experience we deliver.

For more than two decades, Wendy has been a steady, inspiring presence at Standon Bowers — shaping experiences, supporting teams and helping thousands of young people discover what they’re capable of. Twenty‑plus years in the service is no small thing; it’s a legacy built on dedication, heart and an unwavering belief in the power of outdoor learning.

As Centre Coordinator, Wendy is the person who keeps everything running with calm confidence. She welcomes schools, supports staff, solves challenges before they become problems and creates an environment where young people feel safe, excited and ready to try something new. Her leadership is grounded, thoughtful and full of quiet strength — the kind that lifts everyone around her.

But it’s the way Wendy shows up that truly defines her: with kindness, humour and a deep commitment to making every day at Standon Bowers meaningful. She’s the heartbeat of the centre, and her impact reaches far beyond the activities themselves.

Learning something completely new at 41 can feel daunting… but as Lauren shows, it can also be exciting, empowering and full of unexpected joy. Stepping beyond what feels familiar is never simple, yet the outdoors has a way of reminding us just how capable we really are — especially when the views are this good.

As a Specialist Advisor in Educational Services, Lauren plays a key role in supporting the work that happens across Entrust Outdoors. She’s someone who keeps things moving, solves problems with calm confidence, and brings a thoughtful, people‑centred approach to everything she does. And she doesn’t just support outdoor learning — she lives it, embracing challenge and proving that adventure has no age limit.

“My journey — in life and in the outdoors — has been shaped by shared wisdom, encouragement and the incredible women I’ve had the privilege to learn from, work alongside and explore with. Their influence guides me along every trail, river and field I step into. I’m so grateful for them all.”

This International Women’s Day, we’re shining a light on Tamar — a dedicated Coordinator whose enthusiasm and energy shape every programme she’s part of. Whether she’s supporting young people out on activities or spending her evenings monitoring and safeguarding local bat populations, Tamar brings curiosity, expertise and genuine care to everything she does.

Her sense of adventure is matched by her love for her Beagle — a reminder that companionship and joy can be found both in the places we explore and the animals who share those journeys with us.

Tamar represents the heart of outdoor education: empowering others, protecting the environments she works in, and showing young people that science, exploration and conservation are spaces where women not only belong, but lead.

Celebrating Katie — Instructor at Standon Bowers 🧗🏼‍♂️🗻

As part of our International Women’s Day celebrations at Entrust Outdoors, we’re shining a light on the women whose journeys show what growth, determination and passion look like in real time.

Katie began her path with us as an apprentice, and at the end of last year she proudly completed her course — now stepping into her role as a full‑time Instructor at Standon Bowers. Her journey is a brilliant example of what happens when you back yourself, embrace challenge and keep moving forward.

Whether she’s out on the hills navigating new routes, supporting young people through their own adventures, or spending her spare time playing football, Katie brings energy, resilience and a love for the outdoors into everything she does.

On International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating Katie and all the women across Entrust Outdoors who show young people that adventure, confidence and leadership belong to them too.

“Being a woman in outdoor education means showing young people that confidence, resilience and adventure aren’t limited by gender. It’s not always easy to balance work and family life, but being outside and exploring new places always helps bring that balance back.”

Today, on International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating Lisa — our brilliant Contracts Manager, whose work behind the scenes keeps our programmes running smoothly and ensures young people continue to access high‑quality outdoor experiences.

Lisa’s perspective is a powerful reminder that outdoor education isn’t just delivered on the hills, lakes or ropes courses. It’s shaped by the women who plan, organise, coordinate and make it all possible. Her commitment, calm leadership and passion for the outdoors help create opportunities for young people to grow in confidence and discover what they’re capable of.
