Have you walked the wiggly path yet ? This Is from our resident ecologist ;

'I walk it every morning. The seed bank is starting to shift now in the right direction as the nutrient levels drop those species that like nutrient poor soil are becoming dominant now. This is a sure sign a native meadow is establishing. Some absolute gems in there, crested dogs tail, bent, ox eye daisy, birds foot trefoil, knapweed, wild carrot, sorrel, vetch and the star of the show the yellow rattle nicknamed the ‘meadow maker’ is helping it all along. Well done 🌺 🌷 🌱 '

Today we spent the afternoon planting fruit trees at the end of Brook Glen Road, apparently more than 5 is an orchard ! So that's exciting , and we were joined by our MP Leigh Ingham, who really helped us, thanks to Dave, Val, Janet, John, Anne, Nick, and Leigh, also Kev who popped by to take a break from litter picking on his way home. Also thank you to Aaron Thurstance for starting this part of the project.
