Joint spring camp with the 4th Stafford Scout Group has hit the ground running. Scouts arrived last night and got stuck straight in with putting their tents and dining shelters up. First breakfast cooked by some of the scouts whilst the remainder collected a forest full of fire wood!!

Our Squirrels have had a very busy term including learning about growing plants ready for spring, Easter celebrations and crafts, and even our first sleepover of the year!
They have been incredible, and we were so proud of them for joining us overnight!
This term has kicked off with team games outdoors in the sun, and bridge building!

Pancake night was a hit! The Cubs took over the gas stoves on Wednesday 25th February and cooked up some absolute beauties. Who knew we had so many mini chefs? 🥞🔥

Our Squirrels have had an awesome start to the term - last week we celebrated Founders Day by learning about Lord Baden-Powell, making some paper Scout salutes, practicing our Squirrel Promise, and we even invested a new Squirrel into our Drey! Welcome to the 21st West Stafford Scout Group to Teddy!

This week we played outside! Everyone was very excited for the light and dry evening, so we played stuck in the mud. We then headed inside and, as it's British Science Week, we've been doing experiments! We had an amazing time making explosions, bubbles, and colourful things!!! We also made our very own water cycles to take home!

Our Beaver colony has been very busy since returning from the Christmas break - there's been meal planning, cooking, air activities, and team games galore!

The colony welcomed some graduated Squirrels, who have settled in very well with the help of their supportive Beaver friends, and we are all very much looking forward to the lighter nights so we can get out and about!

A brilliant start to the year from all our Beavers - well done!

Today's the day the Squirrels went on a Night Hike! 🎵

An amazing evening hiking around Historic Stafford Castle with the Squirrels and their super supportive grown ups! They braved the dark, rain, and cold, and did it with lots of Scouting enthusiasm!

All of our Squirrels should be so proud of themselves! 🌌🥾🌲🌳🔦🐿️🌟⚜️

Squirrels returned last week after the Christmas break, and made a start on their Air Activities badge! We made and flew paper planes, designed our own aircraft, and then finished the badge this week when we boarded our own plane (in our HQ)!

It's been so much fun, and a lot of our Squirrels had amazing knowledge about planes!
