When life throws its worst at you, Jesus still has the final say.

Sometimes, life brings battles that leave us feeling trapped, broken, and overwhelmed. One challenge follows another, and it feels as though the enemy is determined to keep us in chains.

But the story doesn’t end in bo***ge. There is freedom in Jesus Christ! 🙌🏽

Our second drama at Drama & Variety Night brought this powerful message to life: no matter how long the struggle has lasted or how heavy the chains may seem, Jesus Christ has the power to set the captives free.

What the enemy meant to destroy, God can turn around for His glory. Where there was pain, there can be healing. Where there was bo***ge, there can be freedom. And where there seemed to be no hope, Christ can make a way.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36 (KJV)

The enemy does not have the final say. Jesus does!

WEAR YOUR ARMOUR. STAY ALERT. 🛡️⚔️

What happens when a soldier forgets the very armour that was given to protect them?

At our Drama Night, we witnessed a powerful illustration of spiritual warfare, inspired by Ephesians 6:10–18.

The commander equipped his soldiers with the armour of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

But the battle was not simply about receiving the armour. It was about keeping it on.

One by one, the soldiers fell as they lost their armour and became vulnerable to the enemy. Yet, one soldier stood firm, wielding the sword of the Spirit and overcoming the enemy with the Word of God.

The commander rebuked those who had fallen and honoured the one who stood victorious.

The lesson? We must never become careless with our spiritual armour.

The enemy does not always come when we feel prepared. Sometimes, the greatest danger is when we become distracted, complacent, or forget the very things God has given us to stand firm.

The Bible reminds us in 1 Peter 5:8 that our adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

That is why we must remain watchful, stand firm in faith, live in righteousness, walk in peace, guard our minds with the truth of salvation, and above all, hold firmly to the Word of God.

Church, do not take off your armour. Do not abandon your position. Do not lay down your sword.

The battle is real, but God has equipped us to stand.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” — Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)

Are you still wearing your armour? 🛡️
