A trusted support service for domestic abuse victims in has received national recognition 💜

New Era victim service has been awarded the Leading Lights Accreditation from SafeLives. This is a national quality mark for frontline domestic abuse services.

It recognises the high standard of support the team provides every day.

New Era supports people across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. The service offers practical and emotional help to keep people safe, support recovery and help rebuild lives.

This accreditation means people can feel confident they are getting professional, high-quality support when they need it most.

Domestic abuse has a serious and lasting impact on individuals, families and communities. That’s why we work closely with partners to support victims, prevent harm and hold offenders to account.

This is a well-deserved recognition for the New Era team and the difference they make every day.

Whilst a lot of people are enjoying a holiday away, some families stay at home and continue to experience ASB in their area. This may affect children too and we can offer support. This is a free and confidential service commissioned by Staffordshire Commissioner and independent from Staffordshire Police, local authorities and housing providers.

The Home Office has announced that new ASB powers from the Crime and Policing Act 2026 will come into force on 26th October 2026.

These new powers include the highly anticipated Respect Orders.

What an amazing week it has been In the hope that more people have an understanding of the importance of supporting victims of ASB, which is more than just a bit of low level crime, we have been out and about a lot, delivered online and in person workshops and sessions about particular topics related to ASB.
