It is W🌍rld mental health day today. Mental health (MH) is often impacted by antisocial behaviour (ASB). Our clients share regularly that existing MH problems deteriorate, or that MH problems have commenced due to ASB. This is a serious issue and the ASB may be perceived as draining, exhausting and causing anxiety and depression. Our team of ASB Practitioners and volunteer understand this and we are here to discuss support or can suggest ongoing referrals. Whilst we advocate the ASB case, it is paramount that MH is taken seriously and that we have a good understanding of what the client is going through.

Face to face meetings and home visits are one way of offering tailored support to our service users. This can be useful for us too, to get an understanding of the lay out of properties, for example when people report excessive noise from neighbours or neighbour disputes. One client told us that they did not feel comfortable leaving their home to come to our office, due to the ASB, and they said "you have been so supportive ASB Harmony Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, offering me the I needed. You have really listened to me, taken me seriously and understand what I am going through".
