❌ Car Broken Into ❌

A vehicle has been broken into around Sandon Road/Freeman Street if anyone locally has CCTV/dash cam or ring doorbell footage this could of happened between the hours of 11pm on 10/11/25 & 6.30 am on 11/11/2025.

Items have been taken from the car which we’ve looked around locally for and have been unable to find.

Police are informed and aware but just seeing if there’s anyone with possibly cctv of the area. The incident reference is 123 of 11/11/2025 should you have anything to assist the police to find the person who did this.

Also of note there’s a Mercedes parked locally to where it happened that has a dash cam, if the owner of the car sees this would you be able to see if your dash cam has picked anything up.

Thankyou in advance from robinson

I’ve just seen this come up on Facebook around Shropshire and the flooding issues, there are similarities to Stafford. So thought I would share with you all.

A town council has lost its insurance due to the frequency of flooding in the town, and a number of businesses are also finding they can no longer find cover.

A quick update on Sandon Road. We had another productive Taskforce meeting earlier this month, with updates from Severn Trent, the Environment Agency, and Staffordshire County Council.

I shared some letters with nearby residents this week, but for anyone who didn't get one here are the key updates:
🛠 Severn Trent have now cleared the drains near Dawkes & Co, with further investigations underway. They’re also designing a new control valve to better manage surface water during storms.
💧 We’re looking at how best to use the Property Flood Resilience funding to support local homes.
🚧 Investigative works on Crooked Bridge Road are set to begin on 1 August.
📢 Most importantly, we need your voice – please take a few minutes to contribute to the Government's national flooding consultation. It’s open until tomorrow, and your views really will help shape what happens next. You can https://bit.ly/FloodingConsultation

This month, a meeting will be held with Members of Parliament to address the ongoing issue of flooding in the Sandon Road area. As part of this initiative, we are collecting vital information from residents and community members who are directly impacted or regularly affected by these flooding events.

We kindly urge all those affected—along with family members and friends—to complete the attached form. Your input is essential in helping government officials understand the true scope of the problem and the number of people impacted locally.

The data gathered will play a crucial role in strengthening our case for financial support, which could significantly contribute to long-term solutions and flood mitigation measures for the community.

Thank you for your participation and support on this. Together, we can try to make a difference to Sandon Road flooding. Please get behind this everyone.

The link is below to click on, fill out the form and email it back by the email provided. This will take about 5 minutes but could mean financial support to get Sandon Road works completed to hopefully try to stop the flooding, any support is welcomed even if you don’t live on Sandon Road.
