Last few tickets for Stowe Village Hall Centenary celebration are available at The C**k Inn ONLY £12.50!

7.30pm start at The Village Hall, Sat 17th October.

The Bluebird Belles Trio will entertain us singing popular songs from 1930’s to the 1990’s.

Ticket price includes a bowl of lobby, crusty bread, trifle and birthday cake.
There will be a licenced bar c/o The C**k Inn.
A picture Quiz and Raffle.

We encourage you to dress in the style of your favourite decade although this is not essential.

Yesterday ( Sat 26th) Tom Edwards painted this fantastic mural for our village halls centenary celebration.
The painting took place at The C**k Inn. What a super sunny day too.
Lots of our community came together to enjoy the day. Tom painted away whilst we were entertained by a live band.
Tom allowed children to help him paint which was very brave.
Jim Sale owner of the C**k Inn, celebrated his birthday too… Hope you had a Happy Birthday Jim ###

Sometime soon the painting will go on display at The C**k Inn. We hope you enjoy it.

Another proud mum moment ☺️
Artist Tom Edwards ( son) will be in Stowe By Chartley this coming weekend. Sat 26th September.
Tom has volunteered to compose and paint artwork to celebrate the centenary celebration of our village hall.
Tom will start mapping out his artwork from 11am and will continue to work through the day. The whole process from start to completion will take approx five hours or so. Spectators are very welcome. The event will take place on the car park of The C**k Inn. Why not pop in for a drink, or lunch, and be a part of this lovely community celebration?
Landlords of the pub Jim and Ange Sale have booked a Country and Western band for the occasion. It should be fun.

Tom Edwards will be in Stowe By Chartley on Sat 26th September.
Tom is a local artist known for his large scale murals which can be seen across not only his home town Stoke On Trent, but also across many other counties in the UK.
Tom has volunteered to paint a commemorative painting to celebrate the 100 yr anniversary of Stowe Village Hall.
If you would like to see Tom at work, he will be painting live at The C**k Inn Sat 26th Sept
Painting will commence from approx 11am, but it will take several hours to complete. There will be music entertainment too …a Country and Western Band. Why not come along.

Regrettably the decision was taken to cancel Stowe Village Fete this year due to the high chance of heavy rain.

Stowe by Chartley Village Fete

Regrettably the weather forecast for Sunday is very unfavourable this year and apart from the heavy rain there is also a risk of lightening and thunder storms. So the annual Stowe by Chartley Fete is cancelled this year.

Thank you to everyone who has offered their help. We look forward to better weather again next year!

Scarecrow Competition...Results are in. Thank you to Amerton Farm for Sponsoring the prize money.
Judges Mike and Kate Beardmore were very impressed with the number of entries and the quality of the creativity and making skills.
They found deciding first place between Sarah and Russell's Mary Mary Quite Contrary and the WI's Diddly Squat Three Blind Mice impossible.
Overall winner was Mary Mary Quite Contrary and Three Blind Mice were awarded a new prize of Special Team Prize.
There were Highly commended and Commended Prizes awarded too.
Everyone who entered will be presented with a medal too.
Presentations to take place approx 4pm (ISH) at Stowe Fete 30th Aug.
