After one hour litter picking there will be some surprises waiting for you at the playground. All of you will receive a side quest before the pick that you will need to fulfill during your pick.

This is a weather dependent event and will be confirmed on the day before. Please let me know if you are joining the event asap, but latest on the day before.

For all the mums and dads, there will be a WhatsApp group in case you want to connect with each other outside Facebook. Details can be found via our Instagram bio links.

A message from Brian, our SNARL Cubs leader:

‘It is with a deep heart that I have made the decision to step down from running the Snarl Cubs litter picking group.

I have had an amazing 5 years and with your help, we have made a huge difference in our wonderful community. Thank you for being simply amazing.

So I now look to hand over the baton to anyone who would like to take charge and continue the great work we started.

Drop me a line if you would like any further information.

Once again, thank you for all your support. I will miss seeing our little ones make a difference x’

If you think you may be able to take over the role, please contact us via private message here, or via the links in our bio. 🗑️ ♻️ 🐯

These tiny lentil-sized pieces of plastic are washed up around our coast line with every tide. Escaping from container ships or spilt on land at industrial facilities, they float off down drains & ultimately out to sea.
They are Nurdles; the building blocks for most plastic products.
Sea birds & marine animals mistake them for prey & the toxins coating them enter the food chain and each of will consume around 18kg of plastic in our lifetimes.
Plastic has its place but we can reduce our reliance on it.
Together we can make a difference 💚💙❤️

Be more Michael 🗑️

This is Michael Barnfather

Michael hates the sight of litter and has been picking it up around his home village of Caerwent, Monmouthshire, for the past 10 years

The 90-year-old spent several decades of his life travelling around England as a landscape artist, and it was on these trips that he became frustrated about the litter he saw

“I would think 'what a mess', but I didn’t do anything about it

"But then I thought, why moan about it? So I started picking up litter and I’m still doing it,” he says
