Yesterday our St Neots Volunteer Centre office were delighted to have the opportunity to speak with Ian Sollom MP. We were able to share details of our community work, and in particular the Community Car Scheme with Ian. He also had the opportunity to meet some of our volunteers and clients, who were very happy to share their experiences of the Community Car Scheme with him.

We thank Ian for taking the time to visit us! We hope that he found this a useful and interesting afternoon and that we were able to provide a valuable insight into our involvement in providing access to medical services and social engagement across the community.

Hail Weston Neighbourhood Cafe, Sunday 15th March 2026: 3.30pm, Village Hall CAKE SALE to raise funds for St Neots volunteer centre:

Hopefully see some of you there on Sunday, as the Neighborhood Cafe are kindly running the event below and all proceeds are going to kindly be donated to us at the ST Neots office of the volunteer centre. How kind and generous of them looking forward to seeing some of you there:

Charity news:
This month we are supporting a charity suggested by one of our neighbours, Huntingdonshire Volunteer Centre, and we are delighted that a representative from the organisation will be joining us to tell you a little bit about it. The Centre has offices around the region, including St Neots and in addition to encouraging volunteering, it runs a Community Car Scheme; this is a very interesting concept and could be of use to some of our neighbours!

In addition, we have been gifted some "End of Season" stock by a friend, and this will be available for sale, all proceeds going to the charity. This stock includes bobble hats (well it has been known to snow in April before now) and some large ladies scarves/shawls which (we think) would be great for keeping your guests warm if you're sitting in the garden in the cooler summer evenings. So if you have a couple of £'s to spare, you might like to take a look. We will remember to bring the Card Reader this time!
