Another wonderfully joyous concert at the St Ives Corn Exchange yesterday to a full house with 50 singers entertaining our fabulous audience. At times we formed one giant choir to join together in song. So many happy memories made in one afternoon. Huge thanks to Rotary St Ives Cambridgeshire for their continued support of the St Ives Dementia Friendly Community, with yet another generous donation and organising our raffle.

Thank you to all our wonderful singers and our very appreciative audience for another unforgettable, joyous concert at the Corn Exchange yesterday.

Life is a rollercoaster for sure. We have lost some dear members from our wonderful choir lately, - we miss them deeply. But life presses on, and we have a concert this Saturday, 3pm, at the Corn Exchange. Join us to celebrate the joy we all share when we sing together, how it connects us, members past and present, and our lovely audience of course. Celebrating our 5th birthday in style at our lovely home at the St Ives Corn Exchange. Our fabulous team of helpers decorated the Charter Hall beautifully for the occasion. We reminisced and sang together, danced to fabulous entertainment from John Pilbeam, Cllr Philip Pope and Jo Dodds, and enjoyed amazing cakes and scones from Tom's Cakes. We were happy to share our celebration with so many amazing people who have supported us along the way.
We have achieved so much together over the past five years. Got through Covid, keeping in touch on Zoom, and sang in 8 fabulous concerts since restrictions lifted. Currently with 62 members, our beautiful choir continues to grow from strength to strength. But Riverport Singers is much more than a choir. We are family. There is so much love in this group, and the joy of singing together lifts us every Thursday morning. And the Choir is just one feather in the cap of the wonderful St Ives Dementia Friendly Community. Sadly, there is still no cure for dementia, but we all agree that singing together is one of the best medicine.
