Cosmos Community Centre

Wow! Just a few weeks ago we shared a statement about the ways we want to show up for you. Then, you all started showing up for us too!

A massive thank you to those who donated to our Crowdfunder appeal for a new people-carrier for Cosmos Community Centre. Despite it only saying 3%, £807 is a lot compared to when we started. And this is money received purely from the good of your hearts - thank you thank you thank you.

Of course, we do have a long way to go, so we are discussing different approaches behind the scenes. If you've any supporting ideas, don't be shy!

We also have a kitchen and FREE PARKING! We found out that you all love free parking in St Andrews so we like to shout about it now 🫣

Have you got a birthday party or event coming up and looking for an affordable hall to rent in St Andrews?

We’ve got you covered! And we’re pretty experienced with this too. Can’t go a day without hearing about our famous discos, so come recreate the experience with new memories.

Recently, we communicated that we didn't reach our recent fundraising targets and took that time to reflect on how we want to show up for you, the people of St Andrews.

Since then, we've managed to connect with so many more of you, and we even received an increase in support for our (soon to be) people-carrier. From the bottom of your hearts, THANK YOU!

Despite missing the 12 week target, our fundraiser is still open and will continue to be "always on" for whenever someone feels they want to give back to the community.

A lovely view out onto the harbour at east sands. Can you guess where we took this photo? (It’s not a hard one! 😆)

What topic would you benefit from in an opening a loan box?

Calling all educators and community groups!

We are looking to refresh our loan boxes and we need your advice. Loan boxes are free to borrow and contain a range of objects, photographs, notes, worksheets, and other resources to support learning and discussion. They most often link with curriculum outcomes. What topics would you be interested in? Here are some of our ideas!:

- Toys & Games from the past
- Scots Language
- St Andrews during WW2
- Communication
- Domestic life in the past

Or perhaps you have ideas of your own? Let us know here or email [email protected]!
