The Caddie School For Soldiers

The Caddie School For Soldiers The Caddie School for Soldiers supporting veteran recovery through the world of caddying. Andrews for a month to learn how to caddie. alone. together.

The Caddie School For Soldiers (CSS) is a veteran non-profit 501(c)(3) that has the mission of helping veterans from all over the world work through their physical injuries and/or Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) by bringing them to St. Roughly 22 veterans commit su***de every day in the U.S. The same tragedy is taking place all over the world. By bringing veterans to St. Andrews for a month and giving

them goals to accomplish, we hope to help some of these veterans gain a sense of pride and accomplishment while also giving them the skills needed to find work as a caddie once home. While many graduates have gone on to rewarding careers as professional caddies, it isn't a requirement that a veteran who comes through the program finds work as a caddie. Our main goal is to help veterans discover that a meaningful and positive future is possible regardless of the struggles they may be going through. A unique aspect of our program is who we help and how we help. Veterans who apply can be from any branch of service AND have served during any time of war. Most organizations focus on the Post 9/11 era veterans however, we feel that veterans from prior war times still need our help as well so we encourage them to apply. Furthermore, veterans from all over the world may also apply. Each session we bring veterans from the US, Canada and the U.K.

Another session is in the books. 🇺🇸⛳
One of the most remarkable things we witness every time is how a group of veterans who have never met before arrive as strangers and leave as a family.
Over the course of the program, friendships are forged, stories are shared, and strong bonds are built through common experiences, mutual support, and a shared commitment to moving forward. What starts as a training course quickly becomes a community.
For many of our soldiers and veterans, the school is about much more than learning the craft of caddying. It’s about confidence, purpose, opportunity, and finding a team again.
We are incredibly grateful to our principal sponsors, and whose continued support makes this life-changing program possible.
A huge thank you also to every supporter, volunteer, mentor, donor, and friend of the school. Your belief in our mission allows us to continue creating opportunities for those who have served.
As we look ahead to the future, we’re excited to help even more veterans find their next chapter.

The School was delighted to welcome members of the New Golf Club, St Andrews on a truly glorious day in the Fife sunshine.
It was a pleasure to share our mission, our stories, and the incredible journey many of our veterans are on as they rebuild confidence, purpose, and community through the game of golf.
Days like this remind us how powerful connection can be — clubs, veterans, supporters, and friends coming together around a shared love of the sport and the values it represents.
A heartfelt thank‑you to everyone who joined us. Your support means more than you know, and it helps us continue making a real difference in the lives of those who have served.

A huge thank you to ,Honorary Professional at the A, for giving our veterans an unforgettable experience at the Old Course. His knowledge, passion, and storytelling brought every corner of this historic venue to life — from the fairways that shaped the game to the traditions that continue to define it.
We were incredibly fortunate to finish the day with a guided tour of the world‑famous R&A Clubhouse, a place steeped in golfing heritage and global significance. A true privilege for everyone involved.
An equally big thank you to for capturing the day so beautifully. His images preserved every moment — culminating in that iconic shot on the Swilcan Bridge, a memory the group will carry for years to come.
Grateful for the people who make days like this possible, and proud of the veterans who inspire us every step of the way.

Lightning really can strike twice ⚡⛳
Caddie School for Soldiers participant Manu Giraud has achieved the almost unthinkable — recording TWO holes-in-one within the space of a single week.
The first came at the legendary followed just days later by another ace at .
For context, the odds of an amateur golfer making ONE hole-in-one are estimated at around 12,000-to-1. The odds of the same golfer making TWO in a week are astronomically small — roughly 1 in 144 MILLION.
An extraordinary achievement for Manu and a week in golf that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

What a day for the vets at yesterday ⛳️
A huge thank you to everyone at the club for hosting us so well and making it such a memorable day. Great golf, great company, and plenty of laughs all round.
A special mention as well to Scott, who ran a coaching clinic during the day — and it certainly paid off for one of the vets, Manu Giraud, who unbelievably made his SECOND hole in one inside a week! 🤯👏
Some achievement and a moment we won’t forget anytime soon.
