Include Me: Citizen Advocacy in North East Fife

Our Story So Far

With the support of a Development Worker employed by Fife Council, a group of people from across North-East Fife formed the Citizen Advocacy Development Project following an information evening held in Cupar in July 2007. This group undertook a range of learning and development activities, promoting citizen advocacy across the area, cultivating values, principles and a vision wh

ich would be put into practice in the operation of the new independent organisation. A name was chosen by the group, and so Include Me became an independently constituted and managed citizen advocacy resource in late 2008. We want to live in a society that will recognise, uphold and protect the rights of all its citizens, thus ensuring that everyone is included, accepted and treated with dignity. We therefore aim to create and support friendships that will nurture compassion, understanding, value, respect, sharing of aspirations and having fun, and that these friendships will continue to prosper and grow by making connections in North-East Fife and within the wider community. Our Aims and Objectives
Include Me aims to enhance personal choice and community participation for vulnerable people through citizen advocacy. Include Me’s objective is to focus our resources on individuals who may be vulnerable because they lack a support network or who may have difficulty accessing appropriate services.
