Our Story
The Pan-Asian Careers Initiative is a student-led non-profit organisation founded by student leaders at the University of St Andrews. We aim to empower the extensive international networks established by student communities in the UK (and especially Scotland) and to collaborate with different sectors to raise awareness about the challenges and opportunities in Asia. In the course of our studies, we realise that each individual student has his own story and network to share. The Initiative acts as a collective knowledge and insight sharing platform for those who are interested to engage with Asia. Our founding president is Mr. Yong Ong, who has worked for Nestlé and the Asia Scotland Institute and is the current VP of the Chinese Society. The launch of this new group at the time of the Chinese President's visit demonstrates our commitment to support students to maximise opportunities with China, as well as the rest of Asia.
