Something positive for you to read on this fine Wednesday morning from Eve Horncastle 🌸

We would like to introduce you to Georgie Grayson who regularly attends Eve in Horncastle πŸŒΈπŸ’œ

She is an exceptional British adaptive Judo Athlete who has been selected to compete at the world Down Syndrome championships and has recently been nominated Adaptive Judo female player of the year. Her journey in sport has been defined by discipline, resilience and determination - values that Georgie herself demonstrates every time she steps on the mat.

This year holds particular significance as it marks the first time Great Britain has had athletes representing their country at the world Down Syndrome championships.

Georgie competes at Level 4 classification in European judo union events. Over the past year Georgie has gone through rigorous assessments and eligibility processes to be able to compete.

Despite the mental and physical challenges of elite sport Georgie has blossomed from a shy athlete into a tenacious opponent with the drive and determination more commonly seen in elite athletes.

Her ambition to win a gold medal at the championships and to represent her country with honour. We are so proud to have Georgie attend Eve what a super role model she is to everyone lucky enough to meet her. We're sure everyone at Eve would like to wish Georgie and her family safe travel and will be rooting for her during her fights.

Eve has purchased t-shirts for Georgie and her team for the competition and cannot wait to see them proudly wearing them.

Good luck Georgie and your team from all at Eve Horncastle and Eve HQ πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§β€οΈ

πŸ’œπŸŒΈ Volunteer Opportunity – Join the Eve Family at Skegness πŸŒΈπŸ’œ

Are you passionate about supporting others and making a real difference in your local community?

We're looking for a volunteer to join our wonderful Skegness Eve group, held every Thursday evening between 6PM & 8PM at 40 Algitha Road.

Eve is a safe, welcoming space where women come together to chat, build friendships, improve their wellbeing, and remind one another that no one has to face life's challenges alone. As a volunteer, you'll be helping create that warm, supportive environment for ladies in our local area.

✨ Experience in mental health or wellbeing is desirable, but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, so all we ask is that you have a kind heart, a listening ear and a genuine desire to help others.

If you'd like to find out more, simply drop us a DM. We'll send you the email address to request an application form, or if you'd prefer, we're always happy to have an informal chat first.

Come and be part of something truly special. Together, we can help our community feel a little more connected, supported, and hopeful πŸ’œ

πŸŒΈπŸ’œ A Huge Thank You to Artisan Coffee Design, Skegness! πŸ’œπŸŒΈ

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Artisan Coffee Design for hosting their fantastic Quiz & Raffle Night on Friday 31st July, raising an incredible Β£350 for Eve Project UK! πŸŽ‰

Your kindness, hard work and support mean so much to us. Every pound raised helps us continue providing safe, welcoming wellbeing sessions for women across our local communities, offering friendship, support and a place where no one has to face life's challenges alone.

One last mention - to our very own Eve representative, Amy, who bravely turned up to represent Eve... and let's just say she didn't exactly bring the quiz-winning knowledge! 🀣 She may have done terribly in the quiz, but she had an absolutely brilliant evening and loved meeting everyone. Sometimes it's the taking part that counts... right? πŸ˜‚

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated raffle prizes, bought raffle tickets and joined in the fun. Your generosity will make a real difference.

We are so grateful to have such amazing local businesses and supporters standing behind Eve Project UK πŸŒΈπŸ’œ

🌸 RAFFLE PRIZES NEEDED – CAN YOU HELP? πŸ’œ

On Friday 31st July we're holding our Charity Quiz Night at Artisan, Skegness, with every penny raised going to Eve Project UK.

To make the evening as successful as possible, we're looking for raffle prize donations from local businesses. Whether it's a voucher, a gift, a hamper, or a product or service you can offer, every donation will make a real difference.

πŸŽπŸŽ‰ Raffle prizes can be dropped off at Artisan in Skegness before the event. If you're unable to drop them off to Artisan but would still like to support us, just send us a message and we'll let you know of an alternative drop off point.

Eve Project provides a safe, welcoming space where women can come together to improve their mental health and wellbeing, build friendships, and access support without judgement. As a small charity, fundraising events like this are vital. The money raised helps us continue running our sessions, supporting women across our communities, and ensuring Eve can keep making a difference for those who need us.

If you're a local business and would like to support your community, we'd be incredibly grateful for your generosity. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us continue our work.

Thank you for helping us support women when they need it most πŸŒΈπŸ’œ
