☀️☀️ The sun was out for Spilsby’s Super Saturday market. The steam punk costumes and activities were great! I bought some great cookies and had a go at a bit of collage art with The Story Tellers (which I will look out 👀 for when they do their light shows on the coast in the autumn).
It was just so lovely to see all the activity in the market place.

💛 This week, we’re changing the narrative on su***de.

Thursday marks World Su***de Prevention Day, an opportunity for us all to think about the way we talk about su***de, challenge stigma and create spaces where people feel able to speak openly about how they’re feeling.

Changing the narrative starts with conversation. It means moving away from silence and stigma and towards openness, understanding and compassion.

Throughout this week, we’ll be sharing ways we can all play a part – through the words we use, the conversations we start, the way we listen and the connections we make.

Because su***de prevention is something we all have a role in.

🎶🎶 😍 A big shout out to Spilsby Theatre Acoustic Music night for the invite to their evening. On my tour of finding out all that is great in our community, this was just amazing! There was singing, people performing their own songs from all genres, cheered on by a supportive audience. I was amazed at the performances. You don’t even have to play or sing to enjoy the evening, you are welcome to listen and enjoy! (I am not at all surprised there is so much talent in Spilsby) 😉

They meet on the first Friday of the month at The George Hotel, until they are back in the theatre.

🌳🌲 It has been a busy week and time to spend an hour recharging in one of my favourite spots. There are always things to do, worries and demands. But I make sure I find time to do the things I know make life easier to cope with and being outdoors, in the trees is one…and relax 🌳🌲

Where are your favourite local outdoor spots? ⬇️

If you have an interest in helping shape Lincolnshire's well-being and mental health services, then this is your opportunity to share your insights and experiences with the Lincolnshire Unit for Mental Health Research (LUMHR) Roadshow. See the post for the roadshow dates!

The Lincolnshire Unit for Mental Health Research (LUMHR) is a new initiative focused on improving mental health and wellbeing in rural, coastal, and small urban communities across Lincolnshire.

At the heart of LUMHR is co-production. We work alongside people with lived experience, carers, practitioners, community organisations, and local residents to help shape our research and ensure it reflects the needs of local communities.

We're taking our work out into communities across Lincolnshire through a series of local roadshows. These events are an opportunity to learn more about LUMHR, meet the team, and share your experiences, ideas, and perspectives. Together, we can help ensure that mental health research leads to real benefits for local people.
