Tudhoe Residents Association

Tudhoe Residents Association Community group consisting of 880 households in Tudhoe, Spennymoor c) To raise such funds as are necessary to make these aims viable.

Open to all Tudhoe Residents who live in the following streets:
Attwood Terrace Briony Close
Castle Close Clover Court
Fox Covert Front Street
Harebell Close Meadow Green
Rothman Close Seven Hills Court
St Davids Close Tweed Road
Wolsey Road York Hill Cres. York Hill Road York Villas

Objectives:

a) To unite residents, without prejudice of age, gender, race,

disability, political or religious beliefs, in a common effort to improve conditions of life in the area and to foster a community spirit. b) To work with Local Councils and other agencies to have a valuable input into local decisions and be involved in monitoring performance. d) To aim to influence decisions about improvements to and the management of services so that they reflect the local needs within the area.

Sustainable transport recommendations are included in the plans. The blue area is the walking catchment. So are they suggesting those released from custody and appearing for bail should be walking through this area to get to the buses?

Plans are being submitted for a new centralised custody facility for County Durham and Darlington.

As part of a wider engagement programme with partners, Durham Constabulary is preparing to submit a planning application for a new 48-cell custody facility at DurhamGate, near Spennymoor.

If approved, the suite would become the force’s main custody facility, with existing suites in Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Durham City and Peterlee closing.

We the Committee would like to thank,all the residents from the York Hill Estate and surrounding area, all the previous Cllr's and the previous housing association past and present, for all their help and support over the last 13 years to keeping the group running. We would also like to thank the Spennymoor Fire Station, Tudhoe Community Centre for allowing us to use their premises.

We have all enjoyed helping the residents with their problems and concerns were we have been able to. We are please to see that the York Hill Estate has now nearing completion of it's regeneration.

We are sorry that our time as a committe has come to an end, we hope the estate and surrounding area's keep up the good work that has been acccomplished, within our time.

The tea and entertainment we held for the older residents on Saturday 17th July 2017at the Tudhoe Community Centre, which we are proud to inform you that everyone who attended enjoyed themselves. A special thank you to a local entertainerJudith
( HollyWood),she is a local resident from Oval Park, she entertained the residents extremely well.

Our last meeting will be on Monday 7th Aug 2017at the Tudhoe Community Centre at 6,30pm.

Once again we wish to thank everyone who attedned our meetings and we wish you all well for the future.

Livin have invite the residents and surrounding area's, to go down to the Tudhoe Community Centre on the 29th Oct 2015 between 1pm and 6pm to have a look at the plans for the up and coming development of York Hill Crescent. We the TRA also look forward to seeing the residents at the Fire station on Monday 2nd Nov 2015 at 6.30pm for the TRA meeting.

Hi, our next TRA meeting will be held at the Tudhoe Community Centre on Monday 7th Sept 2015 at 6.30pm. Our local Labour Councillors and a member from Livin will be attending.
