Spalding Senior cadets and Juniors spent this evening cooling off with some team building exercises, followed by some start paddle awards being presented to the cadets and juniors who attended the boating taster day last Saturday. 👏👏

Hartlepool Docklands trip 2026.

Some of our Spalding Division Senior and Junior cadets joined up with Boston and travelled up to Hebburn SCC unit friday, as they very kindly let us so stop over the night, before we headed to Hartlepool Royal Navy museums today.

We went aboard HMS Trincomalee – a warship that’s over 200 years old! We explored the decks before visiting the rest of the museum.

We then stopped on our way back at pontefract Castle ruins to break up the journey, strecth our legs and get some chips. 👌⛵️.

A huge thanks to our volunteers for giving up another weekend to make it happen and to team Hebburn SCC! ⚓️

⚓️RBS Sir David Attenborough Antarctica explorer ship visit! ⚓️

We were so privileged to be able to have a ship visit, thanks to one of our Spalding volunteers who is a junior officer in the Merchant Navy and has just completed his 2 months at Sea onboard RBS Sir David Attenborough.

Cadets were shown round by the Captain of the ship, they got to ask lots of questions about the ship and expeditions, and saw where the ships company had meals on the mess desk, the galley, cabins, hospital, briefing room, science labs, helicopter flight deck and the opportunity to sit in the captains seat on the bridge and more.

Absolutely fantastic day, despite a long minibus journey in the heat, but we did also get to have lunch and an ice cream stop on the beach to enjoy the sea breeze before the long journey home.

Celebrate the river day 2026.

We were invited to have a recruitment stall at the Welland Yacht club on Sunday.

Absolutely beautiful weather and great to see so many people come along and join the Flotilia down the river.
Once the Flotilia headed off and cadets parents arrived for collection, they were allowed to have a little fun on other stalls for all their hard work recruiting potential new cadets.

Great job 👏

Eastern Area regatta 2026.

What a day for Spalding cadets at the competition today. The division has been open for only 4 months and came home with Gold, silver and Bronze medals!!! 🥳👏🛶

Armed forces day parade 2026

As Spalding's newest MOD-sponsored youth organisation, we were privileged and honoured to pay our respects to our military veterans today. It was an especially proud moment as this was Spalding Sea Cadets' very first public parade.

Many of our cadets and new volunteers have never taken part in parades before, this was a significant milestone for the unit. Despite having to adapt and take extra precautions due to the high temperatures, every cadet conducted themselves with professionalism and pride.

Thank you to everyone who came along to support the Armed Forces Parade and Service.
Today was not only an opportunity to honour our veterans but also to recognise and remember those who continue to serve our country.

Thank you to those who took the time to compliment our cadets, it was very much appreciated and also to the 4 Boston Sea cadets who came to support the parade. A special mention also goes to a Boston sea cadet who was carrying the standard for the first time 👏.

Spalding/Boston unit camp 2026 🏕

A busy weekend for the unit and lots of qualifications gained.
Basic Seamanship and Basic First aid qualifications for our senior cadets. STEM badge (science, technology, engineering and Maths for our Junior cadets.
Boating competition practice in the evening for some of our seniors.

Great weekend, well done to all, especially those on their first camp/Time away from family 👏

The weekend couldn't of happened without our adult volunteers. Thank you for giving up your time, not only at the weekend but all the preparation that went into the weekend 👏🥵⚓️
