Yesterday at Patchett Lodge, we celebrated International Waffle Day in the best way possible… with waffles! 🧇✨

They were served with a variety of tasty toppings including ice cream, sauce, fresh strawberries, and chocolate pieces. They certainly went down a treat, with a few residents even coming back for seconds! 😋

At Patchett Lodge we had a wonderful visit from Gorefield Alpacas 🦙

Residents had the chance to feed and spend time with the alpacas, and it was a huge success. There were plenty of smiles and laughter, with a few residents even asking if we could keep an alpaca as a pet!

Patchett Lodge enjoyed another jam packed day in the salon this week, with residents being pampered from head to toe 💇‍♀️💅✨

Jenny, our hairdresser, worked her magic creating beautiful styles, while Megan, our Activities Co Ordinator, was at the nail bar designing gorgeous nails.

Our residents love their weekly salon experience, giving them the chance to enjoy that true salon atmosphere right at the heart of our home.💙

Patchett Lodge celebrated Chinese New Year last month with a wonderful afternoon of food and music 🧧✨

Patchett Lodge hosted their final event of the year on Sunday 21 December with a Winter Masquerade Ball. We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make it such a special afternoon. We also enjoyed a special visit from Mrs Claus who sang throughout the event before heading back to the North Pole ready for Christmas Day. We look forward to hosting our next event in the New Year. 🎭🎄💙

At the beginning of last month, Jenny retired from Patchett Lodge after an incredible 28 years in the care sector ❤️

Jenny has been a huge credit to Patchett Lodge and will be missed immensely by residents and colleagues alike. Thankfully, she’ll still be part of our home, continuing her role as our much-loved hairdresser - so we’ll still be seeing plenty of her 😊

To mark the occasion, Megan, our Activities Coordinator, worked with residents to create a special good-luck book for Jenny. Megan also organised a surprise retirement party, complete with a delicious homemade cake 🎂

A truly lovely send-off for someone who has given so much. 💐
