Big changes at Spalding Round Table this at the beginning of the month as we hand the reins over to a brand‑new leadership team.

A huge thank you to Matt Clark for his time as Chairman and his involvement with Spalding Round Table, he’s now passing the torch to Arron Chappell, who’s ready to drive the club forward with fresh ideas and plenty of energy.

Arron has handed his Vice‑Chairman role to Matt Parker, and Phil Whitaker has passed the President’s chain to Nigel Chapman.

Round Table is all about stepping up, getting involved, and making things happen in your community. If you’re 18–45 and want to be part of something with purpose (and a lot of laughs along the way), drop us a message.

What an absolutely fantastic Bank Holiday Monday for the Chairman’s BBQ. Sunshine, laughter, and a whole lot of competitive spirit on the inflatable assault course followed, of course, by a feast worthy of the occasion. Smoked pulled pork, a proper BBQ spread, a barrel of beer, and the most delicious cheesecake and cheese board to finish it all off.

A huge thank you to all our partners and children who came along and made the day feel so special. These are the moments that remind us what Round Table is all about friendship, family, and community.

And most importantly, a massive shout‑out to the team behind the scenes. Events like this don’t just happen. They take planning, graft, early starts, late finishes, and a whole lot of heart. Thank you to everyone who cooked, set up, packed down, fetched, carried, organised, and made the day run smoothly. Your effort is what keeps the spirit of Round Table alive.

💚 Mental Health Awareness Week may be ending but the conversation doesn’t

As Mental Health Awareness Week comes to a close, we want to remind everyone in our community that looking after your mental wellbeing isn’t something that ends on a date in the calendar. Stress, pressure, and life’s ups and downs don’t run on a schedule and neither does support.

At Spalding Round Table, we believe in connection, conversation, and showing up for each other. Whether it’s a night out, a challenge, a laugh with mates, or just knowing you’re not on your own, community makes a difference.

A bunch of us headed over to Angle in Peterborough to try our hand at rock climbing and let’s just say some of us were clinging on like seasoned pros… while others were clinging on for dear life. Either way, the laughs were unreal.

Afterwards we shot over to Turtle Bay for food, a beer, and a good chat with the lads. Nothing beats that mix of doing something new, having a laugh, and ending the night with mates who feel like family.

TERRY "THE PAYNE" STEPS UP! 🥊

​Our member Terry Payne has recently traded the office for the boxing gym as he prepares for his UWCB debut tonight!

​He’s taking the hits to raise money for Breast Cancer Now 🌸 and Huntington’s Disease 🧠. It takes massive guts to step through those ropes, and even more heart to do it for charity.

A support crew from our long standing and newly introduced members have come along to support!

We did the first of the Spring Cleans in Spalding tonight. The troops turned up with wives and children, and we collected 11 black bags of rubbish that has now been disposed of correctly! Thank you all for turning up, and let's do it all again next week!!
