It’s volunteers’ week! 🥳

Last week, I overheard a volunteer saying they ‘just’ did an hour of restocking the community pantry before dashing off for an appointment.
‘Just an hour’ that meant someone they will likely never meet, had choice, dignity, a meal for their family that evening and a weight off their shoulders 🙂

We have 19 people who give ‘just’ a combined 211 hours each month to make sure that our community can live happier, healthier and more connected lives and every minute of that is appreciated 🧡

They do this with compassion, kindness and respect and none of what we offer our community would happen without them. Thank you all for every hour and every smile 👏

Join our walk leader and Station Road Surgery Sowerby Bridge social prescriber for a gentle meander next Monday at New Road Primary School 👟

This walk is designed for those who find walking routes inaccessible or have restricted mobility - we go at your pace with a cuppa afterwards ☕️

All welcome - if you’re driving, please go up Salisbury Street off Sowerby New Road to park in the top car park 🚘
